I'll be interested to see if either of the two roads have closed when we go down later this morning.

The gales are crazy in town this morning, the simon baker shoe shop sign came crashing down whilst I was walking past.

I'm at West Shore now, you can barely stand up and the tide is massive. Could be flooding later if tide isnt in till half twelve.

Just come off the Orme via West Shore-- quite breezy !!Managed to walk the pup, but had to all hang on to each other.
Also saw Simon Baker's sign, lucky it didn't hit someone.
Pipes at the Clarence at an even more perilous angle.Police and local councillor are aware, imagine something will be done as and when someone's car is damaged or worse.

Llanwst is now isolated : A470 is flooded - there's a car up to its roof near Tal y Cafn - and the valley across is also cut off.

Had to get out of the house, we were going stir crazy.
This weather is horrendous, so against most sensible advice we went to West Shore, (only minutes behind Dave R it seems,  then to Conwy where it was much more sheltered... then down to the beach where the art-deco house is close to the little Orme.   Could hardly stand there, and we got badly sand blasted.
A few pics from my phone camera.

The scaffolding around Wetherspoons is getting ever more torn and tattered. Is this work ever going to be finished - it's been going on for a year now and there never seems to be any progress on the front bit?

The last update I saw was in the NWWN back in November.
At that stage it said it was a programme of works scheduled to end in April 2011.

It's taking so long you'd think Wetherspoons had contracted the job out to CCBC....

Bob, when the Pier is open... I am on there.
However, you will find the Pier closed much more often these days... for various frustrating reasons.
