Trouble is with a lot of these ventures is that they have no parking. The one at the junction of Arvon and Llewellyn Avenues offers no parking at all and on wet days we see families trailing their poor children in their party gear along the roads getting soaked. It's not the ideal place, nor will Vaughan St be .

After the storms over the last week, all the extra sand that was put between the slipway and the pier has been reclaimed by the sea.

A lot of sand debris by the cenotaph and the beach is mainly grit.
I was interested to see that the beach level between the slipway and the pier has actually dropped by around 2 foot since that storm.

Being negative only makes a difficult journey more difficult. You may have been given a cactus, but you don't have to sit on it.

Thank you Hugo, I missed that. Still surprised about the lack of comment on the fact.

Sounds to me like the children are having fun, isn't the lack of entertainment for the younger population of Llandudno one of your main gripes Born2run

You can have fun without screeching like a wounded hyena $good$
Besides which there still isn't enough for older children to do, laser quest...that would have been worthwhile.

The town hall car park to be closed for the Victorian Extravaganza.
Well it is after all Harley the Clown running the event!

“The closure will result in 1100 parking spaces not being available for use over the long weekend.“

The Town Hall car park as in the one between the Town Hall and Wetherspoons? That surely holds nowhere near 1100 spaces?

Less than 150 I’d say, what’s going on?

Looking on Google Maps I can count 103 cars in the Town Hall car park, and there doesn't seem to be any empty parking spaces.  A typical case of mis-reporting.

According to the Victoria Centre website their multi-storey car park holds 365 cars.

Where is the car park in Llandudno that will take 1100 cars?

With careful control why not park along the Promenade - it is done for some major events.  You could have two rows the full stretch of the Prom and operate a one-way system - there are several ways on for vehicles - it's only for a couple of days, not a permanent car park.  Make a charge which would then be used for any clean-up operation required afterwards.

The Great Orme Tramway is set to re-open next weekend.

More than 40 trams will operate up and down the Orme in Llandudno beginning on Saturday, March 24 and will run seven days a week until early November.

With the re-opening of the line transport manager, Andrew Dawson, said motorists should take extra care while travelling in the area and note the access restrictions along Old Road.

Drivers are urged to take extra care, and adhere to the highway code, when negotiating the crossing at black gate junction on the lower section and at Church Road on the upper section.
Mr Dawson said past experiences have shown some individuals disregard the code, which can lead to vehicles coming into conflict with the tram.   ref Pioneer.

My guess would be that they are counting each space several times, to take account of the fact that a car will be parked there for maybe 2 hours instead of all day?
