Does anyone know if the pubs are open on New Years days if so which one's we've got family over and we might end up killing each other if we spend too much time indoors? and what times Asda is open today?

Asda's website says that Llandudno is open till 7pm today and open tomorrow 9am to 6pm.

Sorry don't know about pubs.

Most (maybe all) pubs are open New Years day .... The Queen Vic or The Fat Cat in Llandudno are recommended for lunch...

Last New Years Day, I wondered around in Llandudno, had a great Sunday Lunch in the Queen Vic... did a bit of shopping and I recall most bars and businesses were open.  It was on that basis that I informed Dingo that most places would be open.

But...as Dave says it was astonishing how many places were closed.
The town itself was very busy... and there were loads of people milling around on the Prom and the Pier...with nothing to spend their money on.

I phoned up a few places that were closed, to ask if they would be open tonight, or even tomorrow.
A couple were opening tonight.   But some won't be open until Tuesday!

Then the businesses will be moaning at the end of January that trading has been awful. Moral of the story - you can't take money if your business is closed. Mr Dickens knows this full well, his businesses are always open.
