In an era where sexism is strictly frowned upon, I found it a little odd that Conwy Council have allowed a male strip show like the Dreamboys to appear at Venue Cymru? It would seem that the the objectification of women is now totally unacceptable, but the objectification of men is fine. Funny old world, isn't it?

Fester, here's the link to book tickets that you wanted:

Ha! Already booked the back stage 'meet and greet'

The forum is often full of complaints and criticisms, me included, but for the last couple of days, and as I often do,I have walked in to town via the prom then returning to Craig-yDon via the length of Mostyn St

Pretty damned impressive place we live in and it makes you feel grateful that you are not on one of those departing coaches and here for just a week.

Lucky me.

Seems complaints about the Council and Llandudno beach are nothing new ... this letter was in the North Wales Chronicle dated 13 November 1875 !!!

For your info, Alderman Pochin was Henry Davis Pochin who had bought Bodnant just a few months before, his descendants (McLaren family) are still in ownership of the estate.  The house referred to in the letter was on Cwlach Road as he owned, and I believe developed, Haulfre Gardens.

Fascinating.  Seems the human state is to complain.

This was posted a few moments ago on a Facebook page:

Hi guys,
Just thought I'd share my experience this morning on West Shore.
Kingdom bullies approached me and stated that I was breaking the law by having my dog on an extending lead.
She was about half way on the lead, so about 4 metres.
He asked for my details, and when I asked why, he said he was going to ticket me for having an uncontrolled dog.
I basically told him and his mate to b****r off and if they wanted to take it further, call the police.
He then told me this conversation was being filmed and could be produced as evidence.
I then offered to stick his camera where the sun doesn't shine if he didn't walk away. His mate promptly whispered in his ear, they turned around, and walked away.
I did later, on my way back, encounter them again.
They just walked by.
They didn't follow me to my car, and didn't say anything more.
Perhaps they didn't like being bullied, I am 6'4", 18 stone, ex Scots Guardsmen.
I wonder if they'll be there again tomorrow?

Karma.

Exactly. They are nothing less than obnoxious bullies.

Tell them to 'do one' and stand your ground.
