Two wrongs don't make a right though, but they can cost TWICE as much.

Should anyone be at a loose end for several hours, the full Beach Management Plan report is available here to download:
https://tinyurl.com/ybdubkqw

To save people the hassle of reading it all, I'll mention that the cost of reinstating the Timber Groynes/replacing the shingle with sand will be in the region of £11 - 13.5m, with the Welsh Government contributing 75% of that cost and CCBC taxpayers the balance.

I don't think by any stretch of the imagination you can describe what was dumped on the North Shore as shingle Dave. Rubble or Quarry debris would be a far better description.

It was a cold day on the Promenade today and it's not surprising that there were only a few people walking on the pier.

Chaotic traffic heading towards town as the road is being dug up between the Links Hotel and Asda traffic lights and currently closed to traffic . Best avoiding Llandudno by car for a day or two methinks unless someone knows when it will be finished.

Absolute chaos in town today with cars in jams everywhere and parking spaces as rare as hen's teeth. Is it the appalling weather that brings folk to the shops or was there an event going on in town?

Fortunately there wasn't anything happening in Craig-y-Don park though. As predicted the weather in October can be awful, the grass would have been torn to shreds by any vehicles or heavy footfall although the latter was unlikely in this rain. Won't just be the residents of Craig-y Don that are thankful "the" event didn't go ahead, there would have been some financial losses too.

Oh and I bet those who were all in favour on this forum would have stayed away today as well WWW

Dave, I was in the gym this morning and couldn't help notice the annual Masonic event was being held in Venue Cymru and there was a major swimming gala in the pool so the VC car park was full early on.

Cars were parking down Charlotte Road which often makes it difficult to maintain two-way traffic.

Add to that the recent opening of Wilco.

I had forgotten it was today that Gorjys Events were aiming to host an event in CyD park.

Fortunately, that is now history but it still worth highlighting today's weather.

Indeed, any outdoor event today would have been a disaster.
The forecast , only last night, was for a reasonably pleasant day.
It's amazing how inaccurate they are.

That is exactly what we said, Fester.

Never mind, there has already been one good rugby union match to enjoy indoors but now for the Super League Grand Final.

I parked my car by the Ski Lodge and Mrs H and I enjoyed a leisurely walk downhill through the Happy Valley gardens.  It's hard work for the gardeners looking after the gardens and only this morning the gardener I spoke to said that he had to chase a large herd of Goats away before they did any damage

I then went back to the car while Mrs H sat and enjoyed the lovely views.   It was a nice sunny Autumn day but that hill back up to the car seemed a lot steeper than I remembered.

In an era where sexism is strictly frowned upon, I found it a little odd that Conwy Council have allowed a male strip show like the Dreamboys to appear at Venue Cymru? It would seem that the the objectification of women is now totally unacceptable, but the objectification of men is fine. Funny old world, isn't it?

Fester, here's the link to book tickets that you wanted:
