WARNING: Detectives are urging residents to be on their guard after bogus callers stole cash from a homeowner. The warning has been issued after an incident in Llandudno at around 2pm on Wednesday after a man called at a house claiming that there was a problem with the water. The resident remained with the caller as he entered the property but a second male was later seen leaving. When challenged the pair fled and it was then that cash was found to be missing. Anyone with information should call 101,  quoting reference RC14166476.

Be Safe Be Seen

TODAY marks the end of British Summer Time and North Wales Police would like to remind road users to take extra care and remain vigilant when out at night.

With the clocks going back by one hour, the changes mean the days become shorter and it become darker much earlier and children, pedestrians and cyclists become even more vulnerable as they are less visible to motorists.

Inspector Martin Best from North Wales Police’ Roads Policing Unit said: “Now that the clocks will be going back and it’s getting darker earlier on, it’s more important than ever to make sure you can be seen when you’re out and about near roads.

BANKING FRAUD: North Wales Police are warning the public to be alert to a particular fraud that is instigated by a telephone call.
Calls from a woman with a Scottish accent purporting to be a bank employee asking whether there has been suspicious activity on their bank account, which amounts to several hundred pounds in transactions to various outlets.
The caller then advises the victim to set up a new account via telephone and transfer funds. The caller proceeds to give a new account number and bank sort code over the telephone and the victims have then completed the transfer on-line.

Investigator Maldwyn Roberts said: “Some people have transferred thousands of pounds from their current accounts into the new active accounts.” If you receive a suspicious call, hang up and call Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040

It would help if we knew how to identify her.  Perhaps she has a Lunar tic? And it might be worth them checking the orbituaries...

Looks like she's had a nip and tuck in recent years, so perhaps a search of any cosmetic surgeons might bear fruit?

North Wales Police carry out spot checks to catch anti-social drivers, vehicles were seized and several drivers warned their vehicles were defective in a police crackdown on anti-social driving.
Operation Spotlight is being staged by North Wales Police as part of Road Safety Week.
Officers are checking the vehicles brakes, lights and tyres and asked for the drivers details which are checked against national databases. Insurance details were also checked.
