It looks different to the image I saw of the Fairmont Marina Residence that I saw on Google but I'll accept half a point for Abu Dhabi

Make the most of it Hollins because the weather back home is awful and getting colder

Is this the same hotel, hollins, but from the other side?

I think your photo is the Atlantis hotel at the end of the palm in Dubai. My photo is Abu Dhabi and I think it is the Fairmont.
Did you take the photo from one of your cruises?

Yes and no, hollins.

A couple of months ago, we enjoyed a one hour Palm Island Cruise included the price of a 3 day City Sightseeing hop on hop off bus ticket in Dubai.

As you can see, the view from the road on the other side does not in any way compare.

TBH, I had no idea there was a similar development in Abu Dhabi.

BTW,  $cool$ and I also recognise the colours of the UAE flag

There are lots of natural islands in Abu Dhabi. I prefer it to Dubai now which has got too busy. Hotels are cheaper in AD with same top service. Weather not great at the moment though. Storm this morning and now hot and humid. I was really lucky yesterday with the air display and later a fireworks competition.

I was in Derbyshire for the recent hot Bank Holiday weekend. I was lucky to stay in the Hunting Tower on the Chatsworth Estate.
This was the amazing view from the roof one morning as the fog lifted.

The stairs were definitely not for the faint hearted and hard work if you forgot or needed to carry something two floors up or down!

We enjoyed a coach holiday to the Lake District this week and it was the first time we had had a holiday there.   The scenery is absolutely stunning but some of the roads were hairy so thank goodness we were on the Mountain Goat mini bus when we had a tour around the area.

No, we stayed at the North Lakes Hotel and Spa at Penrith.   It was part of the package holiday with Arvonia Coaches

On Valentine's Day,  February the 14th we stayed at Studley Castle for a three night break    It is the latest one of the Warner Group's historic hotels to open so we decided to visit there to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary
It was at the height of Storm Dennis so we never left the hotel during our stay except when there was a break in the rain and I popped out to take some photos
The Warner's Hotels have so much going on in their hotels that there is always something to do so we enjoyed our time there and made the most of it

Happy Anniversary, Hugo, to you and Mrs Hugo.

It certainly looks a lovely place.
