With annoying regularity, (every minute or so) the screen freezes, neither the cursor or keyboard are operational for the next 60 seconds or so.

I have to emphasise that neither problem is encountered whilst using any other site. Strange.
I think I may have fixed this problem (an errant piece of software), if anyone still encounters the freezing problem that Fester describes, could they post on here please.

Well done Dave!  I knew it wasn't my PC playing up, as it was Forum specific.
It was incredibly annoying.
It appears to have been rectified instantly.  $good$

To summarise, posting a photo to the Forum is now very simple. You don't have to resize the photo yourself, the Forum will do it all automatically. This means you can take a photo on your camera, phone, ipad etc and just post it directly here without needing to worry about whether it will fit etc.

So, to add a photo to your Post, just hit Reply and....

1) Click on Attachments and other options which is just underneath the text box.
2) Look for the Attach section and click on the Browse button
3) A box will pop up, navigate to where your photos are stored on your device, then choose the one you want.
4) That's it. Just finish off your post as normal, then click on the Post button to send it all to the Forum.

It was actually a piece of software that checked for new PMs every minute.  Being as the PM system isn't running, it got confused and just got stuck in a loop for a while.

I'm sure shopkeepers and cafe owners would be wishing that were the case!

Sadly now I can no longer get pics up, some went up, but it's now telling me they are too big, must be under 500k, shame it was working well earlier, unless it's my ancient PC?

Have another try, and see how you get on. I've altered the settings slightly.

Sadly it is telling me

Your file is too large. The maximum attachment size allowed is 0 KB.

I've added in another useful little feature that you can use when uploading photos.

Previously, you had to add each photo attachment in separately. Now, you can select multiple photos in one go and they will all be uploaded (subject to a maximum of 6 per post)...

So, to add a photo/photos to your Post, just hit Reply and....

1) Click on Attachments and other options which is just underneath the text box.
2) Look for the Attach section and click on the Browse button
3) A box will pop up, navigate to where your photos are stored on your device, then choose the one(s) you want. If you want to select more than one photo, just hold down the CTRL key and click the multiple photos so they are all highlighted.
4) That's it. Just finish off your post as normal, then click on the Post button to send it all to the Forum.
