I think it's because there's a lot of photo's in the thread, that it opens slowly, which is usually the case, as they open slowly on my machine too.

It's more to do with the numbers of photos in each posting.  It might be useful to limit it to three in future .

Can't stay logged in to the forum, go away for half hour and I'm logged out even though I use the logged in 'Forever' box

My email still showing in my profile even though I've ticked the box 'Hide email address from public?' SOLVED

apologies if I'm doing something wrong somewhere $salute$

I've just looked and your email address is hidden, perhaps only you, Dave and Ian can see it?

The Old Postcards Llandudno promenade & pier thread has quite a few pages with four pictures and loads relatively quickly.

Thanks Merddin Emrys, I just logged out and checked 'brumbobs' profile and it is hidden, though it wasn't yesterday
(must've hid it by clicking off and on the tickbox several times)

I would have thought staying logged-in forever would be virtually impossible.  :-X

On Firefox, I stay logged on FOREVER....  which means that when people THINK I am on the forum, I am only actually on the internet somewhere... perhaps on Oscar or BBC News.

When you click on ''hide email address'', it is still visible to YOU,     but no other member or guest can see it...

The time which you can stay logged in seems to vary according to your OS and browser.  If you close the machine down completely, however, you will be logged out, but then the browser (depending on what you're using) can automatically log you in.

I use Chrome, unlike Firefox, there aren't many settings you can b****r up, so I don't think it's my end, any other sites I'm logged into I remain logged in.
I only have to change from the threetownsforum to another website then back again after a few minutes and I'm logged out.
You may wonder why I don't just open another browser window and leave the threetownsforum running,
well if I go away from the computer I like to keep what I've been up to private, so I leave it on a safe page like http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/
