Colwyn Counts
« on: June 06, 2011, 10:41:24 pm »
Come to the Leisure Centre Colwyn Bay to vote for the events that YOU want to happen over the next few months to put Colwyn Bay on the map. This evening will consist of lively (and sometimes wacky) presentations by the people who are prepared to put on events but want some funding to make them happen! You vote each event from 1-10 points, and the winners are seen on screen -just like Eurovision but without the Green room!

You must live in the Bay of Colwyn Town Council area to vote, because it' YOUR money!

Perhaps Steve Hunt will turn up.

Only if there's a buffet.

An amazing turn out tonight at the Leisure Centre! About 300 people of all ages came to see the presentations and some brilliant events will now be taking place in the Colwyn area over the next few months. Watch out particularly for the Coastal Hawks Medieval Festival in Rhos, and the Ministry of Food and Fun event  (the 1940s) in Colwyn Bay. We hope that even those who didn't get funded tonight may have a second bite of the cherry if we get match funding from the Welsh government to double the fund to £60K. Watch this space for further info about the events.
