Nice photos Hollins and they brought back some lovely memories of Mallorca when we stayed at Puerto  Pollensa.    I drove to Soller and then parked the car in Soller before catching that rickety old tram down to Puerto Soller, you could nearly touch the oranges and lemons as you passed through the groves

Yes, you are right there Hugo. It was the orange and lemon festival while we were there. The shop windows were all decorated with them and this display was by the church.

For some reason, that image reminds me irresistibly of the final scenes in the film version of the Quatermass and the Pit.

An absolute classic film Ian, a big favourite of mine!   I know exactly what you mean...

Merddin,  some nice, almost retro-style pictures there!

Lovely pictures there ME. Are they your photos? They look like old postcards. Beautiful retro scenes just like Fester says.

LOOK: Ffestiniog railway's Vintage Weekend to steam into Porthmadog

The Victorian Age will return to Porthmadog and the Vale of Ffestiniog this weekend.
Staff and volunteers at the Ffestiniog Railway will don Victorian dress to add authenticity to the three-day Vintage Weekend which starts on Friday.
The event will feature many of the railway’s collection of 19th century steam engines and rolling stock.
Special trains formed of historic carriages from the railway’s early days will run on the 13-mile line from Blaenau Ffestiniog to Porthmadog each day.

WATCH: Hundreds turn up for vintage gala at Ffestiniog Railway           video and photos

Hundreds of enthusiasts flocked to the Ffestiniog Railway at the weekend for the annual vintage gala.
Additional trains were laid on as the railway brought out some of their rarely seen carriages for runs along the 13-mile narrow gauge line from Porthmadog to Blaenau Ffestiniog.
Railway staff and volunteers dressed up in Victorian clothes, and a giant carousel in the car park of Porthmadog’s Harbour station added to the Victorian feel.
