I had a big blue friction toy Deltic when I was a kid... loved it.
But.. where have they been for 30 years? Have they been waiting in sidings like Green Goddess fire engines, rusting away?
Have they been maintained? I just assumed they had all been broken up.

Six class 55's have been preserved and are still running today. They are kept at Barrow Hill.
