Thanks Hollins. I even made a red and green pair which had yellow French Knots on them to look like a strawberry. I then tackled a pair in blue and white stripes for my latest great-grandchild. They were a pig to do, but her parents are keen Town supporters !

Thanks again Suepp for the link you posted above. It has been a real inspiration. I bought the book she recommended on there and also discovered the continuous joining method which I had always wondered about. The patterns in the book are all different but they make up to the same size. A great idea for mixing and matching to make a patchwork.

that's lovely, I really need to learn more stitches and techniques and how to follow a pattern, I can do chains and  trebles and that's it!

Once you can do chains. double crochet and trebles then you are there really.
This was the book I found the most useful when trying to learn. I bought mine on ebay.
You know where I am if you need any help!

My latest crochet creation which will join the growing pile of other things waiting for me to do something with them.
Any one got any bright ideas?
Problem is the yarn cost £52 and it took 4 weeks to make!
How do you cost that one out?

I did put some on ebay but failed to get the price I wanted.
Problem is I can't bring myself to work in acrylic yarn which would be a more reasonable price.
So, the pile grows bigger because I love doing them.
Any local craft shops looking in who could sell these throws which are all made in high quality natural yarns?
