St David's Hospice have some very nice knitted chicken egg cosies around Easter time.  They have a Cadburys Cream Egg in them.

I understand Cadburys are now making an Oriental Chocolate Bar.  They intend to call it a Chinese Wispa!   _))*

Indeed it was on several BBC News media channels today....  Funniest joke of the recent Fringe festival apparently. I beg to differ.

There was an excellent programme last night about knitting on BBC4.
Here is a link to the iplayer if you missed it.

BBC iPlayer - Fabric of Britain: Knitting's Golden Age

I am thinking of suepp mainly. Lots of old knitting patterns featured!
The series is called Fabric of Britain. There are 3 episodes, the next one being about wallpaper. Not sure what the third one will be about.

Still finding ideas for the flowers Hollins, I have put some hair clips on some this week and am busily knitting red ones with black middles for poppies. I have also knitted some tiny bobble hats for brooches which seem to be popular. All your other items flew straight out thanks (and to your Mum)
Don't know if you came into town during our London Week window display ( which we won 1st prize for ( Congrats to Angela)), but during a meeting the other week down at the hospice, I met a lady knitter from Bangor. For their window she had knitted a big London Bus and  a second item which could have been either a Tower Bridge or a Tower of London, can't remember which. Amazing patience !
At the moment we have 3 large Beatrix Potter figures in a basket on the counter, which a lady has knitted and donated. For just £1 you can pick a number and win them.

Sorry, but I missed your prize winning window. Well done for that. I am relieved to know that the stuff we made isn't still there gathering dust! We will do some more things soon.
I am making a jumper and a scarf at the moment and I took them with me to Menorca and the spare wool for both but guess where I left the spare wool? In a drawer of the villa we rented there so now I have to pay to get it posted back or they can't be finshed off.
