I was pondering to myself the other day about how Mostyn Estates can be very keen to enforce high standards throughout the town whilst, at the same time, leaving the Royal Hotel in a derelict state. Imagine the fuss they would make if someone else owned it!

I say this everytime we drive past. It is awful, especially the side onto Church Walks near where people queue for the tram.

We occasionally see men on the roof, scaffolders, roofers and the like, but it never seems to look any better.

I've said it to you before Dave that Mostyn Estates have double standards.     One for them and another for the rest of us

Llandudno's Belmont Hotel names date for reopening

Attempts to sell the sites had been complicated by leases attached to the hotels but North Wales Live revealed recently that Everbright Hotels had bought the Belmont and Llandudno Bay in a deal with administrators.

Now the Belmont has announced it will open on Monday, adding "we can’t wait to see you all".

It is hoped that Llandudno Bay will follow before the end of the year although no date has been named yet.

It’s another boost for the resort that was badly hit by the pandemic but has bounced back strongly in recent months with up to 70 jobs set to be created with the reopenings.
