please note that the only thing updated on the extravaganza web site is the date all the content is still old as is the list of sponsors they were in fact 2013 sponsors  :rage:

Might be an idea to get it up to date, it's now 2014, less than 12 months to go!    ZXZ

here you are Wrex I found this in the local rag apparently the Extravaganza has only been going for 22 years instead of 28 years and normally one of the biggest events, correction it is the BIGGEST and its also a huge boost for the area and economy, pity you only get a small grant .........oh and the whole town gets transformed in to a fairground, the only smidgen of truth is the last paragraph  "The event will include an array of attractions and entertainment, which will fill up the streets between Northwestern gardens (bog island to us locals) and upper Mostyn Street".

I remember being a volunteer steward outside the railway station along with other round tablers in 1986.

That was, indeed, the very first Extravaganza, Bri. I believe the second and third were the best, as the event was hitting its stride by then. The '91 Extravaganza was the last of the original events. That year, because of the most unbelievably arrogant and immature behaviour on the part of one deluded individual the event was taken over by the Llandudno Heritage Trust.

Stick with it, Wrex.  You're doing a great job.

This is another in my series of artistic photographs, influenced and sponsored by BEER.

I call this one, 'Big Scary Ride, being Dismantled, with a very Brave Bloke with a Massive Spanner at the top of it, and for some Strange Reason, the Flashing Lights are Still On!, and were Still On right until it was Packed Away'

Who's now organising the parades?

I always think the highlight of the Extravaganza is Mr Alexander's Travelling Show. An old time Showman, who always puts on a fantastic show.  $good$

Professor Voltini's Show is also very enjoyable.
