Just tried to board two Arriva trains in the last half hour , both full. On enquiring why they are using only two carriage trains when the extravaganza is on , the answer was "What extravaganza"?
Oh dear, hope you managed to get here in the end!

Could swear I've just seen Ormegolf in Victorian golfing attire pushing a bicycle in the parade.  Very smart he looked to in his plus fours  8)

I did and Mike was not far behind you pushing his bike.

You both were a credit to the forum.  ZXZ

Thanks Bri.
I am always amazed how people, myself included can cobble together costumes from bits and pieces, begged, borrowed or bought ! Some of the bits I have are donkey's years old ;D
I believe some of the 'posh' ladies actually have the underpinnings to go with their costumes. Think I should fall over if someone laced me into a corset  :o
The crowds today were great-- we had lots of waves, claps and cheers. Makes it all worthwhile.
As for photos, there seemed to be hundreds of people popping up with cameras.

After a cloudy start, the weather picked up and the crowds were out in force:

I've no idea what you look like Nem but I will look out for you tomorrow!

I wouldn't know what Mike looks like except for the trailer that gave it away somewhat

Plus the plasters stuck on me after I'd fallen off the bike a few times
