70th Anniversary of VE Day today.

A quarter peal starting at 4pm will be rung on Holy Trinity's bells on Sunday next to mark the occasion.

More weddings to ring for. This coming Saturday at 12noon and the following at 12.30pm.

I hope the brides are not 40 minutes late for these!

Holy Trinity's ringers will be marking the New Year by ringing the bells at 12 noon for approx. 30 - 45 minutes.

Members of the North Wales Association of Church Bell Ringers will be ringing a quarter peal (lasting approx. 45 minutes) at Holy Trinity starting at 2.30 this afternoon.
It is being rung to celebrate the award in the New Year's Honours' List of the British Empire Medal to Holy Trinity's organist and director of music, Norman Rimmer, for his service to music.
We extend our congratulations to Norman.

Bells will be ringing this Saturday 23 April at Holy Trinity for a wedding at 12.30.

Saturday 17 September at Holy Trinity Church starting at 3pm.

Members of the Ancient Society of College Youths will attempt a peal which will last approximately 3 hours. It is being rung to mark (belatedly) the 90th birthday of Queen Elizabeth ll

The society is the world's premier bell ringing one, was founded in 1637 and is based in the City of London.

On Sunday morning 13 November, Holy Trinity's bells will be rung half muffled from 9.15 - 9.45am prior to the Civic Remembrance Service which starts in Holy Trinity at 9.45.

Does anyone fancy learning to ring bells? We want to recruit several new ringers to our group.
 Anyone interested, please contact me. Practice night is Friday evening weekly 7.30 - 9pm.

We are also recruiting for our hand bell group. Practice night Monday 6.30- 8pm.

I always  thought that bell ringing was a nice hobby but didn't realise that it could be so dangerous.   You had better watch yourself Bellringer!       :o

 Yes Hugo, I saw that on the news last evening.

Safety is paramount but as with lots of activities, something can unexpectedly happen to catch you out. This situation is obviously one of those, and thankfully does not occur too often.
