Anneelaine,   the registration of deaths etc was made compulsory in 1837 so I don't know for certain if they will be able to issue certificates before that date but it's probably unlikely
Those records prior to 1837 would be Church Records and again those are in Conwy Archives
Have you checked with the Archives?      The records you want are the Burial Indexes and Parish records

Hi Annelaine ...

... thanks for asking.  I don't have the grave number but I was told it is near the line of trees and wall between the old and the new parts.  There are a couple of gaps in that area.  The name is Lewis Thomas (born 1821, died 1899), I don't know if his wife Catherine is there or not, she died in 1915.

... I did find Lewis's father there, William Thomas (1794-1876), along with his wife Elizabeth (1799-1865), a daughter Anne (1840-1915) and a son-in-law Owen Williams (1823-1907).

Where can I view the book?

Regards
Dave

DVT - they have one in Conwy Archives but you can buy one from the Clwyd Family History society (or you could!)  See their website.
Well worth getting one as there's so much local history contained in them.
