Original Riddles
« on: June 11, 2020, 12:01:16 pm »
I write riddles, and wondered if anyone enjoys them.

If anyone does, have a go at this first one:

If danger were to lose its head,
This could be seen, or heard or read.
It’s self-destructive, when unleashed
And futile, too, when once it’s ceased.
There’s nothing gained and much is lost,
With friends all left to count the cost.
Staying calm’s by far the best
When things your patience will contest.

No. 2:

Unpleasant to witness, to hear even worse,
Invisible, nasty—in some ways a curse,
Those who display it are oft unaware
The danger it causes to those who do care.
A quality disliked by all, but a few
Who use it to say they’re the ones who just knew
What would happen, they knew it, and they’re never wrong,
But being more humble does not take that long.
