Then on Friday, September 18, it will set off across Northern Ireland before making its fly past of our region's hospitals.

Here are the scheduled times for North Wales where you can see the Spitfire:

2.35pm – Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor
2.40pm – Llandudno General Hospital
2.44pm – Abergele Hospital
2.45pm – Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, Bodelwyddan
2.52pm – Wrexham Maelor Hospital

The 'Thank U NHS' Spitfire is set to fly over North Wales hospitals this Friday, to pay tribute to staff caring for people with Covid-19.

People are also being offered a unique opportunity to have the names of their loved ones hand written onto the family-owned Aircraft Restoration Company's iconic blue plane photo-reconnaissance Spitfire, as it takes flight to raise funds for NHS Charities Together.

Well not taking away the deserved "Thankyou"  message to the NHS,  but that was definitely a "Flying Visit" rather than a flypast .   :(
