The latest figures from Public Health Wales show there have now been 127,375 positive coronavirus tests across the region since the start of the pandemic.

Meanwhile, Wales as a whole recorded another 22,317 coronavirus cases bringing the total during the pandemic to 668,473.

Wales recorded another 8 deaths within 28 days of a positive Covid test, meaning the death toll now stands at 6,589. None of the new deaths were recorded in North Wales, leaving the regional total at 1,133.

Meanwhile, infection rates in Conwy have surged from 1,534.1 to 2,099.8 per 100,000 people - soaring above the national average of 1,986.5.

There have now been 2,491,285 first doses of the coronavirus vaccine given out, while 2,304,792 people have been double-jabbed.
Additionally, there have been 51,449 third doses given out and 1,648,826 booster jabs.

North Wales coronavirus infection rates continue to increase, in the region's counties as another 5,517 people tested positive.

The latest figures from Public Health Wales show there have now been 132,892 positive coronavirus tests across the region since the start of the pandemic.

Meanwhile, Wales as a whole recorded another 21,279 coronavirus cases bringing the total during the pandemic to 689,750.

Wales recorded another 10 deaths within 28 days of a positive Covid test, meaning the death toll now stands at 6,599. Two of the new deaths were recorded in North Wales, leaving the regional total at 1,135.

There have now been 2,492,440 first doses of the coronavirus vaccine given out, while 2,307,957 people have been double-jabbed.
Additionally, there have been 51,534 third doses given out and 1,667,192 booster jabs.

According to PHW, a third dose is given to people who have been immunosuppressed, meaning the two jabs may not have provided the same level of protection.

Infection rates have increased across all North Wales counties as another 1,555 people tested positive.

The latest figures from Public Health Wales show there have now been 134,444 positive Covid-19 tests across the area covered by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board since the start of the pandemic.

Meanwhile, Wales as a whole recorded another 9,213 coronavirus cases bringing the total during the pandemic to 698,962.

Wales recorded another six deaths within 28 days of a positive Covid test, meaning the death toll now stands at 6,605. North Wales' total remains 1,135.

Locally, the largest increase in coronavirus cases came in Conwy, where there were another 344, bringing the total for the county to 20,514.

There have now been 2,493,502 first doses of the coronavirus vaccine given out, while 2,311,284 people have been double-jabbed.

Additionally, there have been 51,710 third doses given out and 1,682,525 booster jabs.

ALMOST 8,000 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported in Wales in the the latest update from Public Health Wales (PHW).

There were 7,915 new positive covid tests in the last 24 hour period in Wales.

It follows a total of 8,300 new cases of coronavirus confirmed throughout Wales for the 24 hour period on Thursday.

Sadly, 21 more people have died in Wales after testing positive for coronavirus.

A total of 38 people have died in Wales after a positive test since the start of 2022.

Of the new cases, 1,789 were here in North Wales.

The Betsi Cadwalader University Health Board region saw more new cases than any other in Wales.

Denbighshire 209
Angesey 173

The rate of infection in Wales is now 2,324.6 cases per 100,000 population.

In North Wales, Flintshire and Conwy have rates above the national average.

OVER 1,500 new cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in North Wales in the latest figures released by Public Health Wales (PHW).

Statistics released by PHW on Sunday, January 9, show that a total of 8,923 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed throughout Wales.

1,517 of those were in North Wales and these can be broken down county-by-county to:

Anglesey - 121
Conwy - 300
Denbighshire - 176
Flintshire - 352
Gwynedd - 167
Wrexham - 401

Sadly, a further 8 deaths have also been recorded in the latest round of figures, meaning that a total of 6,634 deaths suspected to be linked to Covid-19 have been confirmed since records began.

Figures also show that 1,695,590 people in Wales have had their Covid-19 booster jab.

OVER 3,000 new Covid-19 cases have been confirmed in North Wales.
Public Health Wales data released on Monday (January 10) shows that there were 3,002. new cases confirmed in the two counties in the 48-hour period between 9am on Friday and 9am on Sunday.

Anglesey - 354
Conwy - 585
Denbighshire - 369
Flintshire - 579
Gwynedd - 495
Wrexham - 620

As of January 2, there were 239 people being treated for Covid in North Wales hospitals - making up roughly 11 per cent of all inpatients.
The number of people being treated for the virus in North Wales hospitals has grown to the biggest number since January 2021 - during the second wave of the virus.

Sadly, a further 16 people who had tested Covid positive in the last 28 days died in Wales in the 48-hour reporting period. This takes Wales' total number of confirmed suspected Covid-related deaths to 6,650.

Over 1.7 million people in Wales have now had a Covid booster jab.

The latest figures from Public Health Wales published on Tuesday, January 11, show there have now been 141,167 positive Covid-19 tests across the area covered by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board since the start of the pandemic.

Meanwhile, Wales as a whole recorded another 2,176 coronavirus cases bringing the total during the pandemic to 729,662

Wales saw another four deaths within 28 days of a positive Covid test, meaning the death toll now stands at 6,654. North Wales' total is now 1,150.

There have now been 2,497,658 first doses of the coronavirus vaccine given out, while 2,328,295 people have been double-jabbed.

Additionally, there have been 52,365 third doses given out and 1,740,099 booster jabs.

According to PHW, a third dose is given to people who have been immunosuppressed, meaning the two jabs may not have provided the same level of protection. It is designed to give people the same protection as they would otherwise have from two jabs.

THERE have been 2,864 new cases of coronavirus recorded on the day Wales has been given a road map to ease restrictions.

Sadly, in the latest Public Health Wales update, it was reported that four people had died in Wales after a positive Covid test.

Of the new cases, 625 were in North Wales. The counties with the highest numbers of new cases were Wrexham and Conwy.

New cases in the Betsi Cadwalader University Health Board region can be broken down to:

The infection rate in Wales is now 1,274.2 cases per 100,000 members of the population.

Over 2,000 new cases of covid-19 reported in Wales according to the latest statistics.

A total of 2,133 new cases of covid-19 have been recorded in the latest round of statistics released by Public Health Wales (PHW) on January 16.

417 of these cases were reported in North Wales, which can be broken down county-by-county to:

Wrexham - 111
Conwy - 89
Flintshire - 66
Denbighshire - 59
Gwynedd - 47
Anglesey - 45

According to the latest Public Health Wales data there have now been 1,159 people across the region to die within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test.

Across Wales as a whole there were another 18 Covid-19-related deaths bringing the total since the start of the pandemic to 6,707.

There were another 727 coronavirus cases across North Wales over the 48 hours ending at 9am today (January 17).

Across all of Wales there were another 2,133 cases reported today, bringing the total during the pandemic to 740,742.

Figures also show there have now been 2,499,752 first doses of the coronavirus vaccine given out, while 2,334,096 people have been double-jabbed.

There have also been 52,762 third doses of the vaccine rolled-out while 1,765,080 have been boosted.
The third dose is considered different to the booster and is given out to people who are immunosuppressed.

MORE than 1,800 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Wales, of these, 284 were here in North Wales.

The latest update from Public Health Wales covering the latest 24-hour period, reported that there had been 1,803 positive Covid tests in Wales.

The seven-day rate for cases in Wales is 572/100,000 population.

This compares 2,335.5/100k on January 2, suggesting that Wales is now past the peak of the Omicron variant wave.
