OVER 600 new Covid-19 cases have been confirmed in North Wales.

Public Health Wales figures released on Wednesday (December 1) show that 634 new cases were confirmed in the region during the 24-hour period between November 29 and 30.

Anglesey - 64
Conwy - 64
Denbighshire - 67
Flintshire - 145
Gwynedd - 187
Wrexham - 107

As of November 21, there were 96 people being treated for Covid-19 in North Wales hospitals - making up roughly 4 per cent of all inpatients.

Sadly, a further seven people who had tested Covid-positive in the last 28 days died in Wales in the latest 24-hour period.

This takes the total number of suspected Covid-related deaths in Wales to 6,412 since the start of the pandemic.

More than 700 new Covid cases were confirmed across North Wales in the last 24 hours according to the latest data.

Data published today covers the 24-hour period up to 9am on Wednesday.

In the same time period, there have been eight further deaths across the whole of Wales, meaning 6,420 people have died after contracting the virus.

There were no new deaths in the North Wales region within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test, so since the pandemic began 1,102 people have died in North Wales.

Across Wales, there were another 2,791 coronavirus infections bringing the total number during the pandemic to 513,790 since the start of the pandemic.

Betsi Cadwaladr as a whole: 718 new cases - total 96,915

Anglesey: 92 new cases - total 7,532
Conwy: 65 new cases - total 14,218
Denbighshire: 82 new cases - total 14,479
Flintshire: 146 new cases - total 22,767
Gwynedd: 203 new cases - total 14,939
Wrexham: 130 new cases - total 22,980

Infection rate for every 100,000 people in each area (seven days to November 27):

Anglesey: 599.6 (down from 612.5)
Conwy: 385.7 (down from 426.6)
Denbighshire: 402.3 (down from 434.7)
Flintshire: 489.4 (down from 498.4)

In the latest update from Public Health Wales on Friday, it was reported that 2,271 people have tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hour period.

Sadly, eight people died after a positive test during the same period, taking the death total to 6,428.

Of these new cases, 557 were in the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board area here in North Wales.

The new cases in North Wales can be broken down to:

Gwynedd - 155
Flintshire - 111
Wrexham - 108
Anglesey - 68
Denbighshire - 64
Conwy - 51

The total number of recorded cases in Wales is 516,146.

A total of 2,567 cases have been confirmed in the latest round of statistics released on Sunday December 5.

583 of those are in North Wales and can be broken down county-by-county to:

Anglesey - 74
Conwy - 91
Denbighshire - 61
Flintshire - 156
Gwynedd - 108
Wrexham - 93

Sadly, a further 5 deaths have also been confirmed throughout Wales. That means 6,433 Covid-19-related deaths have been recorded since figures began.

The PHW figures also show that 892,287 people have now been double-vaccinated in Wales.

Across Wales, there were another 4,405 coronavirus cases in the 48 hours leading up to 9am yesterday, bringing the total number of cases to 523,118.

There were another six corona virus deaths across the country, bringing the death toll to 6,439. There were two new fatalities across North Wales, bringing the total to 1,107.

Meanwhile there have now been 2,472,237 first doses of the coronavirus vaccine given out while 2,272,339 people have now been double-jabbed.

There have been 43,283 third doses of the coronavirus vaccine administered with an additional 940,915 people having had their booster jab.

There have been another 461 coronavirus cases in North Wales as infection rates rose across five counties.

The PHW figures show there have been another 2,567 coronavirus cases identified across Wales, bringing the total to 518,713.

There have also been another five deaths, meaning 6,433 people have died within 28 days of a positive coronavirus infection. In North Wales there have been 1,107 deaths.

There have now been 2,473,150 first doses of the coronavirus vaccine given out while 2,273,156 people double-jabbed.

There have been 43,438 third doses given out and 958,426 booster jabs.

Anglesey: 58 new cases - total 7,958

Figures revealed on Wednesday, December 8, show that a total of 2,313 new cases were recorded throughout Wales as a whole.

663 of those were in the North and these can be broken down county-by-county to:

Anglesey - 72

Denbighshire - 88
Flintshire - 165
Gwynedd - 109
Wrexham - 144

Sadly, a further 11 deaths have also been recorded in Wales.

Figures also show that the number of people to have received their Covid-19 booster jab currently stands at 977,675.

THERE were more than 2,000 new cases of coronavirus and 15 deaths reported in Wales in the last 24 hour period.

In the latest update from Public Health Wales on Thursday, it was reported that there have been 2,302 new positive tests for covid.

Sadly, a further 15 people have died after a positive covid test.

Of these new cases, 595 were in the Betsi Cadwalader University Health Board area here in North Wales.

Anglesey 74

Since the identification of the Omicron variant of coronavirus, the vaccine programme in Wales has been ramped up.

Now, 2,474,162 people have received two doses of a vaccine,.............. with 994,844 (  ;D Plus Two more  :D ) also having had a booster jab.

The rolling seven-day infection rate for Wales as a whole is currently 507.1 cases per 100,000 population.

Here in North Wales, only Conwy and Anglesey have rates below the national average.

Another person in North Wales has died within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test.

On Saturday, Dr Eleri Davies interim Medical Director for Public Health Wales said there had so far been one confirmed case of Omicron in North Wales: “Public Health Wales is today (Saturday 11 December 2021) confirming two new cases of Omicron variant, one in the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board area, and one in the Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board area.

"This brings us to a total of 15 cases in Wales, of which three are linked to international travel. One incorrect travel history was identified, hence the decline of one case linked to travel.“As we have said previously, an increase in cases of Omicron variant in Wales is to be expected.”

There have now been 2,474,675 first doses of the coronavirus vaccine given out while 2,276,428 people have been double-jabbed.

Statistics published on Monday, December 13, show that a total of 4,543 cases have been recorded in Wales as a whole.

Sadly, a further 8 deaths have also been recorded in the PHW figures.

A further 408 cases of coronavirus have been recorded across the Betsi Cadwaladr health board area.

There have been no new North Wales deaths in figures released by Public Health Wales today (Tuesday), meaning the death toll remains at 1,117.
There were two across the whole of Wales, bringing the national death toll to 6,491.

There have now been 2,477,721 first doses of the coronavirus vaccine given out while 2,282,420 people have been double-jabbed.

1,101,053 people have had a booster dose.

1,132,700 people in Wales have now had their booster vaccine jab.

The Welsh Government aims to offer every eligible adult the booster by the end of the year.
