OVER 1,000 new coronavirus cases have been recorded in North Wales as cases continue to rise.

Data released by Public Health Wales on July 25 show that 1,238 new Covid cases were recorded in Wales - of which 391 were in the North.

• Anglesey – 18 (25.7 per 100,000 people)
Conwy – 96 (81.9 per 100,000 people)
• Denbighshire – 102 (106.6 per 100,000 people)
• Flintshire – 91 (58.3 per 100,000 people)
• Gwynedd – 20 (16.1 per 100,000 people)
• Wrexham – 64 (47.1 per 100,000 people)

It is important to note there were no daily figures released Saturday so these figures will reflect that.

BCUHB stats:
• Total confirmed COVID-19 cases from North Wales as of July 23 – 42,965.

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board – the largest health board in Wales – has reported 956 people have sadly died since the start of the pandemic, according to PHW data, with no daily increase.

Figures from the Office for National Statistics, which are considered a stronger indicator of the overall impact of the virus, and which are based on all deaths where COVID is mentioned on the death certificate, stand at 1,414 for the health board area.

The national picture:
Across Wales, another 1,238 COVID cases were confirmed in the latest figures, meaning that 236,873 people are now known to have contracted the coronavirus since the pandemic began.

There was sadly one newly reported death on Sunday, meaning the number of people to have died with confirmed cases of coronavirus is at 5,595 in Wales.

PHW confirmed that just 335 of the latest 1,130 Welsh cases came from the northern region, a total of 29.6 per cent.

The national picture:
Across Wales, another 1,130 COVID cases were confirmed in the latest figures, meaning that 238,003 people are now known to have contracted the coronavirus since the pandemic began.

There were two new deaths reported on Monday, with the figure at 5,597 across Wales since the start of the pandemic.

Headline figures show that, across Wales, 2,289,142 people have had their first COVID-19 jab. Of that figure, a total of 2,002,186 completed the two-dose treatment.

THERE have been 704 new cases of coronavirus recorded in Wales.

The latest Public Health Wales figures published on Tuesday, July 27, reported that there have now been 238,707 cases of the virus recorded in the nation since the start of the pandemic.

There has been no additional covid-related deaths reported, with the total remaining at 5,597.

Of the 704 new cases, 217 were here in North Wales.

• Denbighshire – 58 (60.6 per 100,000 population)
• Flintshire – 58 (37.2 per 100,000 population)
Conwy – 44 (37.5 per 100,000 population)
• Wrexham – 31 (22.8 per 100,000 population)
• Gwynedd – 15 (12 per 100,000 population)
• Anglesey – 11 (15.7 per 100,000 population)

There have been another three coronavirus deaths recorded across North Wales as 191 people tested positive for the virus.

Latest data from Public Health Wales now shows 959 people living in the Betsi Cadwaladr health board area have died after testing positive for coronavirus since the start of the pandemic.

Across the entirety of Wales there have now been 5,603 people who have died after contracting the virus

Today's data shows Conwy recorded the largest increase of positive tests across the area, with another 52 cases confirmed.

Across the whole of Wales there were another 533 positive coronavirus infections, bringing the total number since the start of the pandemic to 239,925.
Across Wales there have now been 2,291,418 first doses of the coronavirus vaccine given out with 2,023,733 people having been double-jabbed.

Betsi Cadwaladr as a whole: 191 new cases - total 43,708

Anglesey: 8 new cases - total 2,753
Conwy: 52 new cases - total 5,526
Denbighshire: 40 new cases - total 5,957
Flintshire: 43 new cases - total 11,738
Gwynedd: 18 new cases - total 4,238

There have now been over 43,940 lab-confirmed cases of the virus identified from the combined counties since the outbreak of the pandemic - after more incidents were confirmed by Public Health Wales (PHW) in the latest figures released on July 29.

PHW confirmed that just 229 of the latest 724 Welsh cases came from the northern region.

• Anglesey – 14 (20.0 per 100,000 population)
Conwy   – 46 (39.2 per 100,000 population)
• Denbighshire – 56 (58.1 per 100,000 population)
• Flintshire – 47 (30.1 per 100,000 population)

Public Health Wales figures released on Sunday (August 1) show that 220 new cases have been confirmed.

Anglesey - 9
Conwy - 36
Denbighshire - 72
Flintshire - 41
Gwynedd - 20
Wrexham - 42

Sadly, a further five people who had tested positive for coronavirus in the last 28 days have died in the latest 24-hour period.

Over two million people in Wales have now had both doses of the coronavirus vaccine.

Hospital admission and inpatient rates in North Wales have crept up in recent weeks, but remain very low in comparison to the first and second waves of the virus.

In North Wales, two per cent (56) of its hospitals' inpatients are coronavirus patients.

Of these, 337 newly reported cases were in the Betsi Cadwalader University Health Board region here in North Wales.

The seven-day rolling rate of infection in Wales is now 32.6 cases per 100,000 members of the population.

In North Wales, the rate of infection is above the national average in all areas.

More than 2m people in Wales are now full vaccinated.

A further 218 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in North Wales -
Across the whole of Wales, there were another 803 positive coronavirus infections today, bringing the total since the start of the pandemic to 245,341.

There were no new Covid-related deaths across the country, meaning a total of 5,623 people in Wales have now died after contracting the virus.

No new deaths were recorded in the Betsi Cadwaladr health board covering North Wales and the region's total remains at 963.

Updates on new cases are generally for a 24 hour period with the exception of Mondays, which cover 48 hours. No update on cases or deaths is published on Saturdays.

Betsi Cadwaladr as a whole: 218 new cases - total 45,479

Anglesey: 10 new cases - total 2,840
Conwy: 47 new cases - total 5,883
Denbighshire: 34 new cases - total 6,362
