ALMOST 70 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed across the North Wales region.

The latest Public Health Wales (PHW) figures released this afternoon (March 27) show that there have now been 34,429 lab-confirmed cases of the virus identified from the combined counties since the outbreak of the pandemic.

A total of 68 of the 201 Welsh cases reported in today's update came from North Wales.

Anglesey – 12 (17.1 per 100,000 population)
Conwy – 7 (6 per 100,000 population)
Denbighshire – 15 (15.7 per 100,000 population)
Flintshire – 7 (4.5 per 100,000 population)
Gwynedd – 17 (13.6 per 100,000 population)
Wrexham – 10 (7.4 per 100,000 population)
Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board – the largest health board in Wales – has reported 929 people have sadly died since the start of the pandemic, an increase of one since yesterday's update.

Across Wales, another 201 Covid cases were confirmed in the latest figures, meaning that 208,895 people are now known to have contracted the coronavirus since the pandemic began.

There were seven newly reported deaths, meaning the number of people to have died with confirmed cases of coronavirus sadly remains at 5,505 in Wales.

Headline figures show that, across Wales, more than 1.3m people have had their first Covid-19 jab. Of that figure, a 400,743 have completed the two-dose treatment.

A TOTAL of 37 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed across the North Wales region.

The latest Public Health Wales (PHW) figures released this afternoon (March 28) show that there have now been 34,466 lab-confirmed cases of the virus identified from the combined counties since the outbreak of the pandemic.

Across the whole of Wales a total of 171 new cases are reported.

It comes as First Minister Mark Drakeford said this morning that some coronavirus measures are likely to still be in place by the end of the year.

Anglesey – 11 (15.7 per 100,000 population)
Conwy – 6 (5.1 per 100,000 population)
Denbighshire – 7 (7.3 per 100,000 population)
Flintshire – 1 (0.6 per 100,000 population)
Gwynedd – 10 (8 per 100,000 population)
Wrexham – 2 (1.5 per 100,000 population)

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board – the largest health board in Wales – has reported 929 people have sadly died since the start of the pandemic.

New figures from Public Health Wales show the rates in Anglesey, Conwy, Denbighshire and Gwynedd are all climbing.

Today's figure shows the number of cases per 100,000 of population is 118.5 - up on yesterday's figure of 114.2.

There have also been 24 new Covid cases reported today within the Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board that covers North Wales.

No new deaths have been recorded in the North Wales region, leaving the overall Covid death toll since the pandemic began at 929.

Across Wales, 125 more cases have been reported today, bringing the total to 209,191 - and there has been one further death recorded, making the death toll 5,506 since the pandemic began.

The number of new coronavirus cases in North Wales continues to fall, the latest data shows.

Public Health Wales figures released on Tuesday (March 30) show that 33 new cases have been confirmed in the region.

A full breakdown of new cases is as follows:

Anglesey - 6 (Seven-day infection rate of 112.8
Conwy - 4 (Seven-day infection rate of 43.5)
Denbighshire - 2 (Seven-day infection rate of 40.8
Flintshire - 6 (Seven-day infection rate of 41.6)
Gwynedd - 10 (Seven-day infection rate of 43.4)
Wrexham - 5 (Seven-day infection rate of 24.3)
No new suspected coronavirus-related deaths have been confirmed in Wales during the latest 24-hour period.

To date, over 400,000 people in Wales have now received both doses of the coronavirs vaccine, and over 1.4 million have had at least one dosage.

There has now been about 34,540 lab-confirmed cases of the virus identified from the combined counties since the outbreak of the pandemic.

In the latest figures, released on March 31, Public Health Wales revealed that 14 of the latest 60 Welsh cases came from the Northern region.

• Anglesey – 4 (5.7 per 100,000 population)
Conwy – 2 (1.7 per 100,000 population)
• Denbighshire – 1 (1.0 per 100,000 population)
• Flintshire – 1 (0.6 per 100,000 population)
• Gwynedd – 4 (3.2 per 100,000 population)
• Wrexham – 2 (1.5 per 100,000 population)

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board – the largest health board in Wales – has reported 930 people have sadly died since the start of the pandemic, according to PHW data.

Figures from the Office for National Statistics, which are considered a stronger indicator of the overall impact of the virus, and which are based on all deaths where COVID is mentioned on the death certificate, stand at 1,355 for the health board area.

Across Wales, another 60 COVID cases were confirmed in the latest figures, meaning that 209,345 people are now known to have contracted the coronavirus since the pandemic began.

There was one newly reported death, meaning the number of people to have died with confirmed cases of coronavirus remains at 5,507 in Wales.

Headline figures show that, across Wales, over 1.4m people have had their first COVID-19 jab. Of that figure, over 437,000 have completed the two-dose treatment.

THERE have been 188 new cases of coronavirus reported in Wales today.

Of these, 45 were in the North Wales covered by the Betsi Cadwalader University Health Board.

MORE than 30 new cases of covid-19 have been reported across North Wales, health chiefs have confirmed.

Public Health Wales announced on Monday afternoon that 189 new cases of the virus have been reported across Wales, in addition to a further eight deaths.

The organisation has said its covid-19 data dashboard was not updated on Friday or Sunday, meaning today's figures represents 48 hours of data - as will tomorrow's.

Of the new cases across Wales, 32 were reported in the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board area.

8 in Wrexham
8 in Gwynedd
6 in Flintshire
5 on Anglesey
3 in Conwy
2 in Denbighshire
Public Health Wales also confirmed the number of suspected covid-19 deaths in lab confirmed cases in the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board area now stands at 932.

Dr Giri Shankar, Incident Director for the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak response at Public Health Wales, said: “Mirroring arrangements at Christmas time, we did not publish Coronavirus data on our dashboard on Good Friday (April 2) or on Easter Sunday (April 4).

"We anticipated that the reported case numbers produced on Monday and Tuesday April 2021 would therefore be around double the usual 24 hour figure.

Twenty one new coronavirus cases have been recorded across North Wales today (Wednesday), as the number of new infections continues to fall.

No new deaths were recorded under Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, meaning the number of Covid-19 deaths recorded in North Wales stands at 933.

No further deaths were recorded across Wales in the latest figures and the national death toll remains at 5,521.

There have in addition been 82 new cases across the country, which takes the overall count since the pandemic began to 210,023.

THERE have been 82 new coronavirus cases confirmed in Wales, the latest data shows.

Public Health Wales figures released on Thursday, April 8 show that there have now been 210,105 cases of coronavirus recorded in Wales since the start of the pandemic.

Of Thursday newly recorded figures, 11 were in the Betsi Cadwalader Heath Board region here in North Wales.

Gwynedd 4
Wrexham 1

Flintshire's seven-day infection rate per 100,000 population is now 19.9, while Wrexham's stands at 26.5.
Rates in the other Loca Authority areas are Anglesey 34.3, Conwy 13.7, and Gwynedd 24.9

The rate for Wales as a whole is 21.1 cases per 100,000.

Sadly there were six new coronavirus-related deaths confirmed in Wales.

To date, 484,739 people in Wales have received both doses of the coronavirus vaccine.

More than 1.5 million people have now had at least one dose - equating to nearly half of Wales' total population.
