Three people who were being treated for coronavirus at hospital in Wrexham have died overnight.
Last night, the hospital said it was caring for 64 people with the disease.
"We expect this number to fluctuate as test results are received and new patients are admitted to the hospital. There remains a small number of cases at Deeside Community Hospital, Chirk Hospital, and Mold Community Hospital. ref DP
THERE has been a spike in coronavirus cases in North Wales, latest figures show.
Data released by Public Health Wales on August 2 showed that 27 new cases were recorded in the North Wales region.
Of which 10 in Wrexham, 11 in Flintshire, four in Denbighshire and two in Conwy.
The total for Wrexham now stands at 1,327 compared to 799 in Denbighshire, 738 in Flintshire, 718 in Conwy, 593 in Gwynedd and 460 in Anglesey.
Sadly, all deaths recorded in Wales were under the Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board after a rise of three - bringing the total to 392, the highest across Wales.
Nationally, a total of 248,136 people have been tested for the virus. ref Pioneer
