MORE than 130 new cases of covid-19 have been reported across North Wales, health chiefs have said.

Public Health Wales announced on Wednesday that there have been 455 new reports of the virus across Wales, and a further 50 deaths.

Of the 133 new cases reported across the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board area, there were:

48 in Flintshire
29 in Wrexham
24 on Anglesey
18 in Denbighshire
Eight in Gwynedd
Six in Conwy
Public Health Wales also Confirmed the number of suspected Covid-19 deaths in lab confirmed cases in the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board stands at 756.

Seven more coronavirus deaths have been recorded in North Wales.
New figures from Public Health Wales show that the death toll for the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, which covers North Wales, is now 763.

Another 195 cases of Covid have also been reported across North Wales today, Thursday, February 4.
That takes the total in North Wales to 30,433 cases since the pandemic began.
Data for the whole of Wales shows 35 more suspected virus deaths have been reported - taking the national death toll to 4,867.

Another 544 cases have been reported across Wales today, taking the overall total of cases so far to 194,525.

A further 11,543 tests have been completed in Wales since yesterday, meaning that 2,461,752 tests have now been carried out nationally.

In addition, 490,570 people have now been vaccinated with their first dose across Wales, while 1,216 have had both doses.

There have been seven more fatalities linked to Covid-19 recorded across North Wales, according to government data released today (February 5).

In the past 24 hours, 166 new positive tests have also been reported in the area covered by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.

Figures from  Public Health Wales show the death toll for the region now stands at 770.

And the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic is 30,599.

Across Wales, another 399 positive tests have been reported, taking the overall total of cases so far to 194,924.
A total of 45 new fatalities have also been recorded - making the nationwide total 4,912.

A further 7,996 tests have been completed in Wales since yesterday, meaning that 2,469,747 tests have now been carried out nationally.
In addition, 523,042 people have now been vaccinated with their first dose across Wales, while 1,635 have had both doses.

OVER 150 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in North Wales, the latest data shows.        ref Pioneer

Public Health Wales figures released on Saturday (February 6) show that 152 new cases were confirmed in the region between February 4 and 5.
Infection rates in the west of the region are growing, in contrast to what's happening in north east Wales where they're falling.

Anglesey - 17 (Seven-day infection rate of 142.8
Conwy - 27 (Seven-day infection rate of 104.1)
Denbighshire - 6 (Seven-day infection rate of 103.5)
Flintshire - 41 (Seven-day infection rate of 233.8
Gwynedd - 27 (Seven-day infection rate of 66.6)
Wrexham - 34 (Seven-day infection rate of 272.1)

Sadly, a further 49 people who had tested positive for coronavirus died in Wales between February 4 and 5 - taking the country's confirmed total of suspected coronavirus-related deaths to 4,961.

Over half a million people in Wales have now received at least one dosage of the coronavirus vaccine.

“Although the data currently shows that on an all-Wales level the numbers of cases are reducing and that the incidence is now below 130 cases per 100,000 population, the rates in some areas – particularly in North Wales – are still at more than double that.

“The pressure on our hospitals is still severe, so it is extremely important that everyone sticks to the rules and stays at home as much as possible.”

Flintshire - 37 (Seven-day infection rate of 231.9)
Gwynedd - 17 (Seven-day infection rate of 66.6)

Sadly, a further 28 people who had tested positive for coronavirus died in Wales between February 5 and 6 - taking the country's confirmed total of suspected coronavirus-related deaths to 4,989.

Figures from Public Health Wales show the death toll for the region now stands at 805, up from 801 yesterday. And the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic is 31,044.

Across Wales, another 610 positive tests have been reported, taking the overall total of cases so far to 196,670. A total of 12 new fatalities have also been recorded - making the nationwide total 5,001.

A further 11,013 tests have been completed in Wales since yesterday, meaning that 2,513,281 tests have been carried out nationally.

In addition, 603,976 people have now been vaccinated with their first dose across Wales, while 2,792 have had both doses.

People of Wales urged to stick with lockdown rules following latest release of figures

OVER 100 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed across our region by Public Health Wales (PHW) on Tuesday.
There have now been almost 31,150 lab-confirmed cases of the virus from the combined counties that make up the North Wales region since the outbreak of the pandemic.

Public Health Wales confirmed that 103 of today’s 351 newly confirmed Welsh cases were from the northern region.

• Anglesey – One (1.4 per 100,000 population as of today)
• Conwy – 17 (14.5 per 100,000 population as of today)
• Denbighshire – Seven (7.3 per 100,000 population as of today)
• Flintshire – 27 (17.3 per 100,000 population as of today)
• Gwynedd – 17 (13.6 per 100,000 population as of today)
• Wrexham – 34 (25.0 per 100,000 population as of today)

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board – the largest health board in Wales – has reported 808 people have sadly died since the start of the pandemic, according to PHW data.

Figures from the Office for National Statistics, which are considered a stronger indicator of the overall impact of the virus, and which are based on all deaths where COVID is mentioned on the death certificate, stand at 1,024 for the health board area.

The national picture:
Across Wales, another 351 COVID cases were confirmed in Tuesday’s figures, meaning that 197,021 people are now known to have contracted the coronavirus since the pandemic began.

There were 10 newly reported deaths, meaning the number of people to have died with confirmed cases of coronavirus sadly stands at 5,011 in Wales.

EIGHTY one new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in North Wales, according to the latest public health data.  ref Pioneer
This brings the overall total up to 31,228.

Conwy saw 14 new confirmed cases, with eight in Anglesey, three in Denbighshire, and nine in Gwynedd.
There were also 15 new confirmed cases in Wrexham and 32 confirmed in Flintshire.

There have been 21 new suspected Covid-related deaths across Wales.
To date, the total number of people in Wales who have died after testing positive for coronavirus stands at 5,032.

So far, 1,566,364 people have undergone coronavirus tests in Wales.

Dr Giri Shankar, incident director for the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak response at Public Health Wales, said: “Although the data currently shows that on an all-Wales level the numbers of cases are reducing and that the incidence is now below 120 cases per 100,000 population, the rates in some areas – particularly in North Wales – are still at nearly double that, and there have been small increases in others.

“It is encouraging to see that the numbers of people being treated for Coronavirus in our hospitals is reducing, there are still a large number of people who are extremely ill, which means that the pressure on services is still very high.

“As a nation, we have made so many sacrifices throughout the course of the pandemic that we really don’t want to squander the gains that have been made in recent weeks."

Data released by Public Health Wales on February 11 show that 106 new covid cases were reported.
These can be broken down to 12 cases in Anglesey compared to 13 in Gwynedd, 14 in Denbighshire, 15 in Conwy, 25 in Flintshire and 27 in Wrexham.

Since recording began, the total number of cases per county can be broken down to:

The Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board sadly reported a further six deaths, bringing the total death toll to 821.

According to the daily cumulative snapshot of vaccinations, a total of 684,097 people have received their first dose of the vaccine, with 3,795 people receiving their second dose.

MORE THAN 80 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed across our region by Public Health Wales (PHW) on Monday.
