OVER 280 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed across our region by Public Health Wales (PHW) today.

There have now been more than 27,930 lab-confirmed cases of the virus from the combined counties that make up the North Wales region since the outbreak of the pandemic - after more incidents were confirmed in the latest figures released today.

• Anglesey – 27 (38.5 per 100,000 population as of today)
Conwy – 21 (17.9 per 100,000 population as of today)
• Denbighshire – 43 (44.9 per 100,000 population as of today)
• Flintshire – 77 (49.3 per 100,000 population as of today)
• Gwynedd – 37 (29.7 per 100,000 population as of today)
• Wrexham – 76 (55.9 per 100,000 population as of today)

290 new cases of covid-19 have been reported across North Wales, health chiefs have said.

Public Health Wales announced on Saturday afternoon that 1,079 new cases of the virus have been reported across Wales, in addition to a further 27 deaths.
Of the 290 new cases in the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board area, there were:

126 in Wrexham
72 in Flintshire
36 in Denbighshire
24 in Conwy
20 in Gwynedd
12 on Anglesey
The total number of suspected covid-19 deaths in lab confirmed cases for the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board area now stands at 690.

Dr Chris Willaims, incident director for the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak response at Public Health Wales, said: “Public Health Wales is working with Public Health England and other UK partners to monitor the impact and spread of the UK variant, and to detect and monitor other virus variants.

"As reported yesterday, there is evidence which suggests that the UK variant of concern may lead to a higher risk of death than the non-variant.  ref Pioneer

MORE than 280 new cases of covid-19 have been reported across North Wales, health chiefs have said.

Public Health Wales announced on Sunday afternoon that 796 new cases of the virus have been reported across Wales, in addition to a further 44.
Of the 286 cases reported in the Betsi Cadwaladr Universty Health Board area, there were:

119 in Flintshire
82 in Wrexham
27 in Gwynedd
27 in Denbighshire
18 in Conwy
13 on Anglesey
The total number of suspected covid-19 deaths in lab confirmed cases in the Betsi Cadwaladr UNiversity Health Board area stands at 702.

The number of people who have received a first dose of the vaccine in Wales is 264, 528.
A total of 516 people have received a two dose course of vaccine.

NEARLY 200 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in North Wales, according to the latest public health data.

Regionally, the latest figures show there were a total of 194 new cases confirmed across North Wales covered by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, taking the overall total up to 28,704.

 70 new confirmed cases in Wrexham and 64 confirmed in Flintshire. Conwy saw eight , with 11 in Anglesey, 28 in Denbighshire, and 13 in Gwynedd.

There have been 23 new suspected COVID-related deaths across Wales.

To date, the total number of people in Wales who have died after testing positive for coronavirus stands at 4,553.

So far, 1,482,109 people have undergone coronavirus tests in Wales.

A further two fatalities linked to Covid-19 have been recorded in North Wales, according to Public Health Wales figures released today (January 26).
It brings the death toll for the area covered by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board to 707 since the beginning of the pandemic.

In the past 24 hours, 161 new positive tests have also been reported across the region.
Throughout Wales, the number of new cases is 570, taking the national total since the pandemic began to 189,152.

The nationwide death toll has risen by eight, and stands at 4,561.

In addition, 7,201 more tests have been carried out across the country - bringing the total to 2,365,915.

A total of 289,566 individuals nationwide have now received the first dose of a coronavirus vaccine - and 581 have received both jabs.

Betsi Cadwaladr: 161 new cases - total 28,864

Anglesey: 13 new cases - total 1,557

The data is gathered using Office of National Statistics figures of middle layer super output areas (MSOAs) and present the rolling number of cases in either a seven-day or 21-day window.

The figures reveal that, during the latest seven-day period, the Abergele area has been recording the most new coronavirus reports with 23 cases and a rate of 211.6 cases per 100,000 people

OVER 130 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in North Wales, the latest data shows.

Public Health Wales figures released on Wednesday (January 27) show that between January 25 and 26, 136 new coronavirus cases were confirmed in the region.

Anglesey - 12 (Seven-day infection rate of 137.1)
Conwy - 19 (Seven-day infection rate of 127.1)
Denbighshire - 11 (Seven-day infection rate of 263.3)
Flintshire - 30 (Seven-day infection rate of 384.4)
Gwynedd - 5 (Seven-day infection rate of 141.3)
Wrexham - 59 (Seven-day infection rate of 503.1)

Sadly, a further 49 people who had tested positive for coronavirus in the last 28 days died in the period between January 25 and 26.

To date, 312,305 people in Wales have had at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccinations - roughly 10 per cent of the country's population.

Twelve more deaths linked to Covid-19 have been recorded in North Wales, according to Public Health Wales figures released on Thursday (January 28).

It takes the death toll for the area covered by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board to 729 since the beginning of the pandemic.

In the past 24 hours, 268 new positive tests have also been reported across the region, up from 136 on Tuesday.

A total of 29,268 cases have now been reported in North Wales.

Throughout Wales, the number of new cases is 705 - up from 537 in yesterday's update. It takes the national total since the pandemic began to 190,394.

The nationwide death toll has risen by 56, and stands at 4,666.

In adition, 12,007 more tests have been carried out across the country - bringing the total to 2,384,370.

A total of 336,071 individuals nationwide have now received the first dose of a coronavirus vaccine - and 674 have received both jabs, up from 639 yesterday.

It takes the death toll for the area covered by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board to 730 since the beginning of the pandemic.

In the past 24 hours, 149 new positive tests have also been reported across the region, down from 268 yesterday.

A total of 29,417 cases have now been reported in North Wales.
Throughout Wales, the number of new cases is 546 - down from 705 in yesterday's update. It takes the national total since the pandemic began to 190,940.

The nationwide death toll has risen by 29, and stands at 4,695.

In addition, 13,228 more tests have been carried out across the country - bringing the total to 2,397,597.

A total of 362,253 individuals nationwide have now received the first dose of a coronavirus vaccine - and 717 have received both jabs, up from 674 yesterday.

Data released by Public Health Wales on January 30 shows that a total of 737 new covid-19 cases - of which 191 were in North Wales.

These can be broken down to nine in Anglesey, 25 in Conwy, 16 in Denbighshire, 53 in Flintshire, 12 in Gwynedd and 76 in Wrexham.

Since recording began, the counties have reported the following total number of cases:

Denbighshire - 3,844
Flintshire - 8,232

The Betsi Cadwaladr health board sadly reported a further six deaths, bringing the total to 736.

HUNDREDS of new coronavirus cases have been reported across Wales, latest figures show.

Data released by Public Health Wales on January 31 shows that a total of 605 new covid-19 cases - of which 159 were in North Wales.

These can be broken down to 14 in Anglesey, eight in Conwy, 11 in Denbighshire, 66 in Flintshire, 11 in Gwynedd and 49 in Wrexham.

Since recording began, the counties have reported the following total number of cases:

Denbighshire - 3,855

Gwynedd - 2,521

The Betsi Cadwaladr health board sadly reported a further three deaths, bringing the total to 739.

But in parts of North Wales - namely Flintshire and Wrexham - the rate is more than double that.

The rate is 409/100k in Flintshire and 524/100k in Wrexham.

Data released by Public Health Wales on February shows that a total of 630 new covid-19 cases were reported in the last 24-hour period - of which 181 were in North Wales.

These can be broken down to 16 in Anglesey, 19 in Conwy, 12 in Denbighshire, 59 in Flintshire, 12 in Gwynedd and 63 in Wrexham.

The Betsi Cadwaladr health board sadly reported a further two deaths, bringing the total of people who have died after testing positive for coronavirus to 741.          In Wales as a whole, 21 people died, meaning the Welsh death toll stands at 4,775..

There have now been 19,469 lab-confirmed cases of the virus from the combined counties that make up the North Wales region since the outbreak of the pandemic - after more incidents were confirmed in the latest figures released today.
Public Health Wales confirmed that 181 of today’s 630 newly confirmed Welsh cases were from the northern region.

• Anglesey – 16 (22.8 per 100,000 population as of today)
• Conwy – 19 (16.2 per 100,000 population as of today)
• Denbighshire – 12 (12.5 per 100,000 population as of today)
• Flintshire – 59 (37.8 per 100,000 population as of today)
• Gwynedd – 12 (9.6 per 100,000 population as of today)
• Wrexham – 63 (46.3 per 100,000 population as of today)

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board – the largest health board in Wales – has reported 741 people have sadly died since the start of the pandemic, according to PHW data.

Figures from the Office for National Statistics, which are considered a stronger indicator of the overall impact of the virus, and which are based on all deaths where COVID is mentioned on the death certificate, stand at 848 for the health board area.
