A further four people have died in Wales after testing positive for coronavirus, bringing the total number of Welsh deaths to 1,538.

Public Health Wales today recorded 13 new known cases overall in Wales, meaning 15,913 people have now tested positive for the disease although the actual number is likely to be much higher.

In the last 24 hours, Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board recorded two new cases.
It brings the total number of cumulative cases in the North Wales health board area to 3,724.

The health board, which accounts for 22% of the Welsh population, has the highest death toll at 370 but no new deaths were reported in North Wales overnight.

Since the outbreak began, 385 people have now tested positive in Anglesey, 667 in Conwy, 720 in Denbighshire, 533 in Flintshire, 548 in Gwynedd and 871 in Wrexham.

It comes after outbreaks at food plants 2 Sisters on Anglesey and Rowan Foods in Wrexham which has seen more than 500 workers testing positive collectively.     ref DP

THERE has been no new coronavirus deaths in Wales the last 24 hours, latest figures show.

Public Health Wales confirmed on Friday, July 10 there had been seven new positive cases across North Wales.
Of which, five were in Wrexham, one in Flintshire and one in Denbighshire.

There were no new cases recorded in Anglesey, Conwy or Gwynedd.

Wrexham remains the county with the highest number of positive cases with 876, compared to 721 in Denbighshire, 668 in Conwy, 550 in Gwynedd, 535 in Flintshire and 385 in Anglesey.

In Wrexham's Rowan Foods factory, 13 cases were confirmed since last Friday, bringing the total to 302.

The current death toll for the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board remains at 371.

So far, 154,561 people have undergone coronavirus tests in Wales. Of these, 138,622 were negative.  ref Pioneer

SEVEN new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in North Wales in the last day, last data shows.

Public Health Wales figures released on Saturday show that the latest number of new cases takes the regions total number of confirmed cases of the virus to 3,735.

There were no new coronavirus related deaths in North Wales, nor across Wales as a whole.

To date, 154,561 people have been tested for coronavirus, with 15,939 having come back as positive.   ref Pioneer

No deaths related to Covid-19 have been reported in Wales over the past 24 hours.

Public Health Wales confirmed there were 11 new cases of coronavirus across Wales, with five recorded by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB).

This means 15,973 people have now tested positive for the disease in Wales, although the actual number is likely to be much higher.
It brings the total number of cumulative cases in the North Wales health board area to 3,757.

The health board, which accounts for 22% of the Welsh population, has the highest death toll at 371.

Since the outbreak began, 387 people have now tested positive in Anglesey, 672 in Conwy, 722 in Denbighshire, 536 in Flintshire, 554 in Gwynedd and 886 in Wrexham.

Well, the US holds the lead for sheer incompetence with 135,272 deaths and 3.3m cases with Brazil running a close second with 72,100 deaths and almost 2m cases. The UK is now in 8th position, with 45,000 deaths and almost 300,000 cases.

Globally, 13m cases and approaching 600,000 deaths.   Fortunately, we're still a long way from the 1918 epidemic that killed between 30m and 100m people.  Although it wasn't the first wave that did it;  the first wave of the infection was relatively mild. It was the second wave that killed millions outright.

It brings the total number of cumulative cases in the North Wales health board area to 4,329.

The health board, which accounts for 22% of the Welsh population, has the highest death toll at 373.
Both new deaths recorded overnight were from the health board area.

Since the outbreak began, 452 people have now tested positive in Anglesey, 697 in Conwy, 767 in Denbighshire, 664 in Flintshire, 577 in Gwynedd and 1,172 in Wrexham.        ref DP

There have been no coronavirus deaths reported at hospitals in North Wales overnight - but the number of positive cases across the region has risen by seven.

Latest figures released by Public Health Wales this afternoon saw every county - apart from Gwynedd - record new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

They include one on Anglesey (453), two in Conwy (699), one in Denbighshire (768), one in Flintshire (665) and two in Wrexham (1,174).    Gwynedd has 577 positive cases in total.

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, which accounts for 22% of the Welsh population, has the highest death toll at 373 and 4,436 cumulative cases.

Elsewhere in Wales, two more people have died bringing the country's overall death toll to 1,545.

In total, 18 new cases have been recorded across Wales in the last 24 hours although the actual number is likely to be much higher.

A full breakdown of deaths recorded by Welsh health boards are:
* Aneurin Bevan UHB - 275
* Betsi Cadwaladr - 373
* Cardiff and Vale - 272
* Cwm Taf Morgannwg - 333
* Hywel Dda - 67
* Powys THB - 15
* Swansea Bay - 206

The number of people who have contracted the virus across the country has now reached 16,871 according to figures released by Public Health Wales this afternoon.

So far, 1,545 people have died, although the true number is likely to be much higher.
In the last 24 hours, Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board recorded 10 new cases.

It brings the total number of cumulative cases in the North Wales health board area to 4,346.

But as daily figures now include positive results from non-NHS laboratories, the number recorded in each county is much higher.

In North Wales there were 34 new cases, half of them in one county.

In the last 24 hours, Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board itself recorded nine new cases.

The health board, which accounts for 22% of the Welsh population, has the highest death toll at 374 and recorded the latest death.

Since the outbreak began:

* 454 people have now tested positive in Anglesey (no increase from yesterday)

* 707 in Conwy (up four)

* 769 in Denbighshire (up one)

* 668 in Flintshire (up three)

* 586 in Gwynedd (up nine)

* 1,196 in Wrexham (up 17 compared to figures published yesterday)

Almost three quarters of new cases of coronavirus in Wales were recorded in just three counties of North Wales.

Public Health Wales said that there have been 10 new cases of Covid-19 in the country in the last 24 hours - bringing the total up to 16,897.
Seven of the positive test results were recorded in North Wales - four in Flintshire, two in Denbighshire and one in Wrexham.

Data shows 1,546 people in Wales have lost their lives to Covid-19.

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board accounts for 22% of the Welsh population and has the highest death toll with 374.

A total of 4,387 people in the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board area have now tested positive for the virus since the start of the pandemic.

There have been 454 cases on Anglesey, 707 in Conwy, 771 in Denbighshire, 672 in Flintshire, 586 in Gwynedd and 1,197 in Wrexham.
