I was talking to a neighbour this morning and he told me about an allegation that he had heard.        I have not heard the allegation before and I do listen to the Welsh news quite often so it may be one of those stories that gets exaggerated as they are passed from one person to another

Anyway what he said was that the cases of Coronavirus in Anglesey had accelerated and were  disproportionate to the rest of North Wales and it was put down to the influx of second home owners and tourists descending on the island during this outbreak.

Have you heard anything about this Steve?        If it's true then I can understand why the person wanted the Army to check all the people arriving and departing from Anglesey

I did read the story, my impression/opinion was a politician "shouting for effect" I do find AM's are good at this, I thought it strange that they wanted the army brought in, but we only read whats in the local press, I have heard rumours today of second home owners traveling overnight, and although the locals complained to the police, once in their home, nothing they could do, I looked at both web cam sites today, both Westshore and traffic empty.

From the BBC
Police have issued a warning to Scotland's chief medical officer for visiting her second home in Fife during the coronavirus lockdown.    &shake&

Coronavirus: Beauty spots deserted as most stay at home
Normally bustling high streets and popular beauty spots across Wales have been deserted as many people heeded advice and stayed home.
Under government guidance people are only meant to leave the house for essential reasons, including for one form of exercise a day, in a bid to curb the spread of coronavirus.

But Welsh police forces had feared the sunny weather would see people break the restrictions.
Carla Imbrenda, a mountain guide in Snowdonia, said it was "super quiet" and people were "doing their bit" and staying home to curb the pandemic.
