Today,  I snapped the actor Bruno Langley, who plays Todd Grimshaw in Coronation Street.
He also played the lead role in The Mousetrap at the venue Cymru, (which was rubbish, but that wasn't his fault)

Sorry he was looking the other way, but those who have seen Corrie will recognise him.

Wouldn't know him from Adam.  Haven't watched Corrie since Ena Sharples started wearing a hair net!   :D

For the 2nd time in 3 years, I was visited by Julie Hesmondhalgh today. (On the pier in Llandudno)
She is better known as Hayley Cropper from Coronation Street.

On her last visit she was just 'one of the cast', but since then she has shot to real stardom and swept the board at all the Awards Ceremonies, for the extremely poignant portrayal of her death from pancreatic cancer.

It had the nation on the edge of their seats for months, and brought massive ratings to the show.
This is a picture I took today.

Fester emailed me with this photo yesterday...and I had no idea who it was. Last time I watched Coronation Street, Rita & Mavis were running the shop.   $good$

Last time I saw Coronation Street it was in black and white...

Irrespective of our Moderator's ignorance of current UK soap opera celebrities, yesterday's visitor is the most famous face we have seen in the town this year.
Perhaps even MORE recognizable than Billy Connolly, that Dave and I bumped into a couple of years back.

Sadly, her character has been killed off now, and she will next be working as a 'bit part' in The Bill or something.

An excellent actress. The part she took in Coronation Street was both humorous and yet harrowing. Her soap 'partner' 'Roy' was the ideal foil for her bumbling character. David Neilson needs someone else in the soap to bring back his wry humour.

Nope.  Russell T Davies's Cucumber and Banana are her next two projects, with more in the pipeline.

I think it will be 'Scary Mary'

Well Fester, I for one was impressed. I think Coronation Street is excellent and the parts that Roy and Hayley played especially at the end was, I thought really well done. What a lovely happy, smiling photo you took of her as well.

Not quite in the area, but we had quite a long conversation with Charles Hanson yesterday ( Bargain Hunt etc) at Mona. He seems a really nice bloke and we wished him well with all his ongoing problems.

It appears that they have now got a baby daughter Matilda, but the other problem does n't seem , as he put it 'out of the woods'. He was a lovely chap to talk to.
