Fire ravaged Denbigh Hospital to be demolished.      DaveR has a collection of photos from the former Mental Hospital in Denbigh  so at least we can see what it looked like before the fire.
Quite honestly I thought that the same thing could have happened to two former hotels in the town.

My first impression of this fire, was that it was burning on the outside, and having just been refurbished ?  I think heads are going to roll on this one.

Fire safety at Grenfell Tower placed under review last year
Residents warned of ‘dangerous living conditions’ as owner ordered changes to way it handled fire risk in its properties.

"The block underwent a £10.3m renovation that was completed in May 2016. In January that year, Grenfell Action Group raised concern about the single emergency exit to the building in 2016, warning that if that exit were to become blocked in a fire, people would be trapped inside.

Renovations also included the addition of insulated exterior cladding and double-glazed windows to the reinforced concrete building, as well as a communal heating system.

The building works were criticised by the Grenfell Action Group, which said the installation of new water heaters in the hallways of many of the flats made the already tight access even more cramped.

The 1970s building was clad with a system of polyester powder-coated aluminium rain-screen panels, many of which appeared to be burning strongly during the blaze. It was installed at a cost of £2.6m by specialist facades contractor Harley Facades Limited."

Flock of sheep and lambs on Glodaeth Ave at the moment, .......quite a pleasant site,....... cars are slowing down to take photos                        small crowd gathering for more photos , police are aware.

Must be that time of year, more sheep on Glodaeth, unfortunately these are panicking, and running into the road.
Anybody got a contact number for the farm ?

Trouble is it is Saturday, so most of the people who might have a contact will be 'out of office'. The police might help.

I phoned the police Nem, I was thinking more for future problems, it would be handy to get in touch directly, and give location and direction etc.( I am assuming they are off the Orme?) They turned into the Oval, and I thought they would settle and graze there, however they took off headed for Westshore.

Sally.Pidcock@conwy.gov.uk
Sally is the countryside warden for the Orme and usually sorts things out, but we informed her last week about a Herdwick sheep and its lamb being stuck in the graveyard on the Orme. She said that she would inform the farmer as the mess they were making was not very good for people visiting graves. The creatures were still there during this week, so the matter has not yet been sorted out.

Thanks Nem., I think that's the problem, the delay in passing info. I will try and find the farms contact details for future ref.

Just spotted this in today's news

It will be interesting to see if he returns to Llandudno, he did tell the DP last year "he dresses in a self-designed Welsh Horse Yeomanry uniform posing for pictures with the 19 year-old pony, confirmed he ran the enterprise as a business not a charity." .... http://threetownsforum.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,4.msg90749.html#msg90749

But I suspect the majority of tourists think it's a charity, and that's wrong.
