The Bad Weather is set to continue.  Saturday and Sunday will remain windy, but Monday sees gusts of 60mph+ in Llandudno.

Not wishing to depress anyone, but Monday and Tuesday are currently looking pretty unpleasant:

There is the likelihood of widespread gales, with gusts to around 70 mph for much of Scotland, Northern Ireland, west Wales, northwest England, as well as southern coasts of England. Gusts of 80-90 mph are possible, the greatest likelihood of these values being towards the northwest. Although many central and eastern areas of England should see lesser wind gusts, the combination of these winds with heavy rain and heavy holiday traffic may well increase impacts.

The low that is going to cause most of the problems weather-wise will be 936mb at its core by Tuesday off the West coast of Scotland.  Fortunately, there will be a fair amount of rain on Monday, which will lessen the impact.

Latest from the Met office suggests we might escape the worst of it.  Cornwall has a level 2 warning out (Be prepared) but the thinking now is that gusts here shouldn't be much worse than we've been seeing recently.  Anglesey will see significantly higher, as will the southern edge of the Llyn peninsula.

A Flood Alert has just been issued for the River Conwy 'from Dolwyddelan to Conwy'.

There were reports of flooding in the Trinity Square area of Llandudno earlier.

Conwy valley is flooding fast, and driving on the A470 isn't pleasant. The Met office has re-tuned their warnings to Yellow for Conwy - mainly for wind - overnight tonight and much of tomorrow. Xmas and Boxing days look calm, but it all kicks off again on Friday.

Just been to Asda, not too busy! We were only inside for about 15 minutes but we had dark skies and a sudden hail storm when we came out! Very low pressure on our barometer too! :o

It reached 924 off Scotland. They're not going to enjoy today at all.

Tesco was quite busy (10am - 10.30) but plenty of tills open so no real hassle. All fairly good humoured apart from one fellow objecting to paying 5p for a bag. Bah. humbug!! %0%
