I had the back alley running parallel with Llwynon road starting between no 1 and number. 2  in my mind
I think that was where he was found.

Didn't he live in one of the houses half way up Llwynon Road?

From Daily Post:

The body of a man was found on Llandudno’s Great Orme sparking a police investigation into  how he died.

The man, named locally as Barry John Roberts, aged 44, was found in an alleyway in the early  hours of Tuesday.

Friend Brian Hough said: “He was a great lad. He did a lot for his father after he had a stroke. If  anybody needed any help or was in trouble he would be there.”

A North Wales Police spokesman said: “Police were called at 12.37am this morning by the  Ambulance Service reporting the death of a 44-year-old man who was found at the rear of Llwynon  Road, Llandudno.

“Police inquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the death.”

HM Coroner will be informed and a pathologist will conduct a post mortem examination.

Police say that there are no further details available at this stage.

Latest news on the Tweedle figures.
I walked past about 45 mins ago and everything was in the same state-- no figures and the old carpet stuffed down the holes.
On my way back a couple of men were surveying the scene with a van parked nearby.' Are we having the figures put in place ? 'I asked. 'Well yes 'was the reply---' but when we have made holes in the correct place. The council have got the measurements wrong.!! :-X :o They have been up here once and they couldn't be fitted.'
I think I posted that I had seen them on a van heading down away from the Haulfre Gardens, so that must have been why.

I've heard that the death on Llwynon Road was caused by a freak accident involving a car.

Andy, I do not believe that was the case, as the man was a neighbour of mine.

From the Daily Post:

Tributes have been paid to a “fantastic daddy” who was crushed to death in an accident near his home.

Police investigating how Barry John Roberts died on the Great Orme in Llandudno are continuing with their enquiries.

An inquest was opened yesterday in Ruthin into the death of the 44-year-old dad who lived in Llwynon Road, near the scene of the incident.

HM Coroner for North Wales Central John Gittins said that the man was certified dead early Tuesday at 12.25am.

Pathologist Dr Mark Atkinson conducted a post mortem examination at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd in Bodelwyddan and found the preliminary cause of death to be crush injuries to the chest.

In a statement released by North Wales Police, Barry’s family said: “Barry Roberts (Baz the lad) from the Great Orme, Llandudno sadly passed away, following a tragic accident which occurred early hours on the 5th of November, 2013.”

They added: “Barry was a loving father to his beloved eight-year-old daughter, Melissa, and a devoted son to Hefina and the late David Roberts.

“Barry was a larger than life, popular character who had an extremely positive outlook on life and many longstanding friends.

“He was an avid Liverpool supporter, who loved his motorcross and spending time socialising at the local ski slope.

“Barry was a fantastic ‘daddy’ who loved nothing more than just spending time with his beautiful daughter.

“Barry will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him but will never be forgotten.”

A full inquest will be held at a later date.

It seems I might have been mistaken,  but it is incredibly tragic whatever the cause.

My OH had to turn round and come back the wrong way from the Orme this morning as the road was completely blocked by a crane near Llys Helig Drive. The chap in charge said he could wait, but it could be 2hours !
