There are a few updates on the above incident ...same link

THE bodies of three men have been recovered from the coastline off the Wirral and Blackpool over the weekend.

North Wales Police have been in contact with colleagues from both Merseyside and Lancashire police, and are awaiting the outcome of the Home Office post mortem examinations.

A spokesperson for the force said: "The families of the missing crew members from the vessel ‘Nicola Faith’ have been kept informed, and continue to be supported by specialist officers.

"We would request that they are given the necessary privacy at this difficult time."

It's Census Day today and there are loads of questions to answer.

I had almost completed mine when the broadband went off and the screen went blank  so I was not too happy.     Anyway after having a coffee and calming down a bit I went back into Google and all the answers had been saved  so I was pleased with that.

One thing I will say after completing it is that it won't be accurate for the UK as I'm sure that a lot of people will not bother doing it or doing it honestly.

Most people may be aware of this but Marriage Allowance lets you transfer £1,250 of your Personal Allowance to your husband, wife or civil partner.
This reduces their tax by up to £250 in the tax year (6 April to 5 April the next year).
Martin Lewis mentioned this on his TV programme last week but I had seen it a few years ago.   If the circumstances apply to any married couple or civil partner  it is an easy and quick process to do online.
It can be backdated up to 4 years but to qualify for the financial year 2020/ 2021 it must be done before the 5th April 2021

CONWY council is supporting the National Day of Reflection to be held one year to the day since the first lockdown.

Conwy County Borough Council will hold minute's silence as part of the day reflection on Tuesday, March 23.

The UK-wide event has been organised by end-of-life charity Marie Curie and in Conwy it will see a minute's silence at 12pm with people encouraged to light up their doorsteps at 8pm.

“We hope others in the community, whether they are at work or at home, will join us in remembering those who have died and those who are grieving.”

Better explanation this morning.         $good$

Four people including two children were rescued from a burning yacht at Conwy Harbour.

Plumes of thick black smoke could be seen billowing into the sky, before the vessel exploded after drifting towards Conwy Quay.

Fire crews, RNLI, the Harbourmaster, the coastguard and North Wales Police were all in attendance to the incident shortly after 1.30pm.

Fire crews urged people to stay away from the area while they extinguished the blaze, which spread, decimating another boat moored nearby.

The yacht later sank and remains at the bottom of the river.

The HM Coastguard said two adults and two children aboard the burning vessel managed to escape unharmed with the help of two other yachts in the area.

I am very pleased nobody was injured.

However, I notice there is no mention yet of where the occupants are from?

THE search for a missing boat off the coast of Conwy has discovered a sunken vessel "of significant interest".

The UK Government Marine Accident Investigation Branch (MAIB), which has searched for the Nicola Faith since the start of February, said it has located the wreck of a vessel in the Colwyn Bay area.

A Notice of Direction to Prohibit Access has been issued in the area of the new-found wreck while an investigation is carried out.

"A sunken vessel deemed to be of significant interest has been located in the Colwyn Bay area by an MAIB commissioned vessel searching for the missing fishing vessel Nicola Faith," a MAIB spokesperson said.

"The Chief Inspector of Marine Accidents has issued a ‘Notice of Direction to Prohibit Access’ around the wreck requiring that it be left undisturbed until further notice, pending further investigation by the Marine Accident Investigation Board."

A FAMILY from Rhos on Sea who were plucked to safety after their yacht went up in flames have thanked everyone who came to their aid.

The family were travelling with a flotilla of other vessels from the North Wales Cruising Club when their recently restored yacht went up in flames on Saturday, April 3.

Now the family are encouraging others to make safety a priority when using the sea and want to thank everyone who responded when they Mayday call was issued.

"We couldn't have been more prepared for this trip. The yacht was our prized possession having been lovingly restored and very well equipped. We have drills, safety briefings and never ever expected anything like this to happen. Luckily we all knew exactly what to do.

"It doesn't bear thinking about what could have happened if we'd not been so prepared. We were all astounded at how quickly the fire took hold and I'm sure seeing this has shaken up the local sailing community. You just don't expect this to happen, so I'd urge anyone thinking of heading out to sea to prepare for every eventuality."

Conwy RNLI volunteer crew were paged at 1.37pm to launch and assist the yacht.
Conwy inshore RNLI lifeboat stood by, monitored the situation and updated UK Coastguard with developments.
Multiple agencies offered assistance including the HM Coastguard, Llandudno Coastguard Rescue Team, North Wales Police and North Wales Fire and Rescue Service.

The skipper added: "Everything happened so quickly, our attempts to extinguish the flames were futile but we were quickly taken to safety and just had to watch as our dream project went up in smoke.
"We had spent every weekend making sure the boat was maintained and prepared and although it's very sad, we're still here and that's the most important thing.

"Everyone who attended and helped out was magnificent and without them the outcome come have been quite different."
