FOWS NEWS

latest update from the working party. Not a bad turn out under the circumstances. A small team set about repairing the boat near the play park (much of the wood was rotten).

A couple of us did a bit of tidying in and around the play park (the bigger stuff can't be done by us - we are waiting for the council to clear the main areas)
Additionally a couple more managed to undertake some litter picking along the prom.

That's a really good initiative by the cafe and I really hope it pays off for them     $good$

The first time I went in there, it was only with the intention of having a coffee but when I saw and smelt the food I couldn't resist stopping and having a meal.   It tasted as delicious as it smelt

I visited the West Shore today and all I need or want to say is well done the FOWS  for trying to make the place look nice despite adversity from the elements and CCBC

I've been around her for 73 years and it has never ever been like this before.      Hand on heart Steve,  it all started in that area after 1993

At the risk of being more boring this is what it looked like in 1988 and the 1960's and the devastation that the 1993 sea defence has caused rests entirely with the Council

I wonder where they will put the windblown sand now Steve?

Will it be above or below the high tide, you'll have to keep us informed as I won't be going there until I'm allowed out in June     ;D

Perhaps my cousin Norman can answer that when he takes the dog out for a walk

Hi Hugo yes I noticed them the other day, they were clearing the pavement by the small island mind you the 3 guys spent more time sitting on the wall 😅 I thought they were waiting for a wagon ( moving it to north shore) no the dumper took it to where the hut is in the summer then next day moved to beach, and they cleared it from along the pond by the sea wall, the dumpers etc have gone but they haven't touched the sand in the pond, it looks tidy But it should have been postponed in my opinion money on more important things at the minute as no visitors here for a while 😢😢, hope you are both well take care.

How far down the beach did they move it to Norman?      You'll have to keep me informed on what's going on there as I'm confined to the house indefinitely          :(
We are both ok up here Norman and taking notice of the advise given by the Government.    Hope that you and the family are keeping well and I'm pleased that your dog takes you for a walk nowadays        ;D
