This card trick was developed by the magician after the terrorist attacks in Paris.
Supposedly, he did this in front of Penn and Teller on TV and they just shook their heads in disbelief.
Well, after watching this, I did too.....

I've watched this guy before. I knew roughly how he was doing things until the vanishes. His palming and drop palms are superb, but the vanishes where cards simply disappeared and the instant re-coating of the cards' backs was both puzzling and astonishingly impressive. The new breed of magicians that P &  T wanted to encourage do seem far, far better than the older breed. Some of the performances on ITV's recent Magicians' competition were simply amazing. Some used old routines slightly updated, but one or two were astonishing.  What makes this guy special, however, is putting it on video and not having to talk.

This is really cool.  Watch the reactions of the kids.
This is holographic projection. It is a laser photographic process that produces images thanks to the different timing-phases between 2 laser beams ... the proof-of-principle was done in labs at Spectra Physics in 1970, it sure has come a long way, thanks to today's computer processing capability.
These images are projected into a gym using a special camera.  There is not a drop of water in this room, let alone a whale

It's actually a hoax, Hugo. There's been quite a bit about it on the various media boards for some time.

Thanks Ian for mentioning that, normally I vet anything on things like hoax slayer before passing them on.   Unfortunately I didn't in this case and I've passed them on to my friends too.
I'm sure that there will be more hoax things in the future so it'll soon be hard to tell what is real and what is not
