A well deserved win for our Amy, but I do wonder where she will display the trophy  :-[        a trophy with bells on ! !

Llandudno golfer Amy Boulden produced a sensational round of a lifetime, firing a stunning bogey-free 64 (-8) to finish the week at 17-under-par and claim a three-shot victory from Australia’s Stephanie Kyriacou at the 2020 VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open.

The breakthrough victory is her first in 87 attempts on the LET and sees her claim the €30,000 winner’s cheque and rise 68 places to fifth on the Race to Costa Del Sol Rankings.

“It’ll take some time to sink in, I’m thrilled and really excited to get that first LET win. I am obviously overwhelmed. I was looking forward to getting out there today and I haven’t been in this position for quite a while, so I just tried to enjoy it.”

Hope House Tŷ Gobaith children?s hospices is seeking sponsors for its annual charity golf day which takes place on September 22.

Taking place at Llandudno?s Maesdu Golf Club, the annual event regularly raises in excess of ?10,000 for the hospice charity that assists around 750 local children and families annually with nursing, respite and end-of-life care.

The event is almost ready to tee-off, the main event sponsors this year are Wrexham-based Ash Waste Services, but they are also seeking a further two hole sponsors for the day.

Hole sponsorship costs just ?100 and businesses will get logo advertisement at the hole, an advert in the event programme, a PA thank you during the event and raffle and be allowed to hand out branded merchandise on the day in return.

Any businesses or sole traders wishing to snap?up the last two hole sponsorship packages can easily book their spot on the events page of the Hope House Tŷ Gobaith website or email golf@hopehouse.org.uk .

Personally, I think that the Rhuddlan Golf Club has been very generous in its offer to these vandals by offering  the culprits a chance to redeem themselves before they release the footage on Thursday morning. "Option 1" is to do manual work at the club, at "minimum wage rate" until the ?3,000 repairs and 26 staff hours are made good which they calculate at "80-100 hours (for) each individual". The second option is to repay the ?3,000 damage plus 26 staff hours.

They could have put the images on social media first of all and when they received the names of the culprits pass the details to the Police because that's no more than they deserve

The incident was reported on the ITV Wales evening news today and it looks like the Police have interviewed two teenagers in connection with the damage caused at the golf club.      Perhaps more on this story will be revealed tomorrow
