Can anyone recommend an electrician, please? I have used Andy Boyle of Llandudno in the past and been very happy, but he has too much work on at the moment.

Thanks

I have found Neil Hobson (Craigside) quite reliable and helpful.

I will try Neil Hobson and Mel Owen. The electrical work has to tie in with some plumbing work I am also having done, so unfortunately I can't wait for Andy Boyle.

Many thanks for your replies.

Re: Recommend A Local Business Decorator

Just been let down by a decorator who was booked to do a wallpapering and painting job. Nothing to do with Covid just sheer bad business manners !
Thus can anyone recommend an interior decorator local to Llandudno who will do a good reliable job?
Thanks.

I suppose the people interested in this product, are not the type to leave their poo bags around  ;)

A COLWYN Heights couple was alarmed at seeing dog poo bags strewn along footpaths.

As a result, they designed and have had manufactured specialist dog poo backpacks, which have proved a hit with dog lovers.

Because of the lockdown Natasha Ware and her partner Vinny set themselves a challenge of walking with their dalmatian Pippa, to each peak they could see from where they live. Natasha said: “We noticed there is never a bin around when we needed one. Secondly it was alarming to see the number of abandoned poop bags left on the side of foot paths. I don’t know whether this is because people genuinely forget about them or because they are too embarrassed to carry one around, for what could be hours at a time.

“We decided a backpack was a must on our walks but we still had the issue of carrying the dog poops. After searching the internet for possible solutions we were none the wiser. Therefore, we started to sketch our ideas, gather funds, make contact with contractors, manufacturers, designers and sourced some prototype samples and that is when the ‘DumpStore’ was born.

“We were faced with obstacles and challenges as any new business is. Shipping was an issue as prices have increased over the last year and having to make alterations to the samples on a number of occasions, but we got there in the end. The ‘Dumpstore’ is a backpack that has a dedicated compartment, completely separate from the remaining backpack, that holds dog poo.

“The poo bag is placed in to a sealed container and then slides in to the dedicated section of the backpack.”

“We have built quite a community on Instagram @pippas.paws all of which have played a part in bringing this solution to life.” Purchasers can order backpacks at: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login.

On Jeremy Vine show (Radio 2) yesterday, but hosted by Vanessa Feltz there was an item about dog poo bags ... mainly due to complaints from people who totally object to such a nasty habit of throwing the bags in to the hedgerows or trees, and I totally agree with them - it is a disgusting habit.

What got me was the number of dog-owners who said that they place the bag in the hedge so that they can collect it on their way back ... some admitted to forgetting or going back a different way.

Some complained about the lack of bins, but obviously not considering the poor person who would be required to empty it.

There were even people who went out and about collecting the bags for disposal, with dozens being collected in one day by some people.  That just makes the dog-owners lazier than they already are.

What puzzles me is that many that I have seen are well over 8 feet up the tree - so the dog owners must be extremely tall people.
