Who was RJ - initials on two buildings in Rhos?
« on: November 19, 2016, 10:47:27 pm »
Hello everyone

I spent a very pleasant day in Rhos and Llandudno today.

Not for the first time, I spotted two datestones on buildings adjacent to the old Natwest Bank in Rhos. One was a bakery until recently. These datestones, at first floor level, carry the initials "R.J." and 1892 and 1893 respectively.

I've wondered for some time who was "R.J.". Has anyone any ideas?

Many thanks :)

Good lord

A query that no-one on this forum can answer - that's a first for me!

I'm still nosy about this - if anyone finds anything.

I'll be back in 2017 - a great forum, and long may it last!

Happy New Year

TL

If anyone knew the answer, my money would be on Ormegolf as he has a wealth of knowledge on that area.

Happy New Year to you too.
