What do you think ?

town council is planning to spend up to £1,000 a year renting a garage ... from the 12-year-old son of its own mayor.
Beaumaris officials struck a deal with schoolboy Dai Ifor Evans-Jones - the son of mayor Gwen Evans-Jones - to rent a garage he owns.
The unlikely budding property tycoon stands to make £87 a month from renting out the site - just behind the family home - for which his mother says he paid £13,000 in pocket money he’d saved up.
Cllr Evans-Jones told the Daily Post “everything is above board”, and that she left the council chamber when the arrangement was approved.

In case anyone is interested, there is a very positive two page spread in today's Daily Telegraph on visiting Llandudno.  Various local businesses such as Providero and Johnny Dough's are covered, some with pictures.

An acorn picked from Mametz Wood where thousands of Welsh soldiers were slaughtered during World War I, is to be planted in Llandudno by Lord Mostyn.

The poignancy of the planting ceremony, which is taking place next Saturday at Bodysgallen Woods, will resonate with the landowner as his grandfather raised one of the battalions that fought in the battle.
Organisers are also inviting any descendants of those who died in the battle to attend.

The oak sapling will be planted in the grounds near the spot where a photograph was taken showing the then Lord Mostyn inspecting his troops in 1916.
Mametz Wood was the objective of the 38th (Welsh) Division during the First Battle of the Somme.

The acorn from which the sapling has grown, was picked up in the forest of Mametz by Wyn Jones, from Rhos on Sea
“I picked up the acorn and put it my pocket and then totally forgot about it, but when I discovered it again weeks later-for the hell of it I put it in a pot and couldn’t believe it when it started to sprout.

This sounds like a good idea, but the design looks shocking.......

Zip World has revealed plans for a 75-bedroom hotel with a giant slide and underground caving.
The proposed Gwesty Antur/Adventure Hotel at Parc Tŷ Gwyn, off the A470 on the outskirts Llanrwst, will include a dining area, sauna and pool.

The proposals also include adventure-based features such as the slide from the top to the ground floors, external climbing wall and virtual reality pods.
