Llys helig drive/gun emplacements

Is it possible to access the gun emplacements via Llys helig drive or is it a private road for use by residents only.

It is a private right of way.  I have not heard of any problems in pedestrians gaining access to the site via the route and provided the frontagers' privacy is respected and people conduct themselves properly, I would be surprised if there would be any objection.

Organised visits - as opposed to casual walkers - are usually cleared with Mostyn Estates who own the site and presumably have rights of access.

Llandudno and Colwyn Bay History Society are having a guided tour of the 'gun sites' on July 12th with renowned local historian and councillor, Mr Philip Evans. Philip has written widely about the School of Coast Artillery (to give the gun sites their proper title!) and so I am sure it will be an excellent evening. Non-members are welcome at all Llandudno and Colwyn Bay History meetings - a charge of £2-50 will apply though.
