Technical points:

When connecting to the internet via routers, many users - especially those posting on "technical" forums - use OpenDNS rather than the ones provided by their ISP.

they are:

208.67.222.222 (resolver1.opendns.com)
208.67.220.220 (resolver2.opendns.com)

they map to the nearest operational server.

Your rights regarding warranties and time
« Reply #6 on: April 22, 2019, 02:02:11 pm »
Useful to know: if a retailer misleads you that you have no rights after the expiry of a manufacturer’s warranty with the intention that you pay for repairs for which it is potentially liable, then it is breaching Regulation 5(4)(k) of the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008. This is potentially an offence under Regulation 9 punishable under Regulation 13 by a fine and/or up to two years’ imprisonment.

Seeking extraordinary costs
« Reply #7 on: April 22, 2019, 02:04:04 pm »
When in dispute with a business or company, you can seek extraordinary costs under Part 27.14(2)(g) of the Civil Procedure Rules on the basis that they had behaved unreasonably. This can be something as simple as their not bothering to respond to you.

Just added the definitive guide on how to enable DoH for FF.  If you don't know what DoH is, then put simply it's a method for encrypting al[l your browser traffic from your ISP.

The snoopers' charter allows ISPs to spy on your internet traffic.  If you don't like that, use the guide to stop them doing it.

Thanks, Steve.  Superb link - integrated into the header.

I found it by accident while searching information about Bleriot, Hugo´s recent picture of a plane on Llandudno beach made me think there should be more details, and that´s when I came across the NWWN page, but nothing further, previously I found that after his famous flight, he started manufacturing planes, so I suspect it was one of his planes, and not the man himself.

It's hardly surprising that we have so many page views;  we're a regular font of information.
