No they are not on Lloyd Street PhilMick.

If you were around the West End then you could see them.

Those chimneys look like they've been re pointed fairly recently.

That's quite possible Dave as I don't think that it's the original pointing,  but where are they then?

Could it be Conwy Guild Hall

Good try but it's not the Conwy Guild Hall and it's not in Conwy either, so where is it?

They are on the roof of the Old School Centre on Church Walks Hugo, where the archives are housed if memory serves?

They are indeed Blongb, well done.           &well&

I was walking down West End Hill opposite the school when I saw them and thought that they would make a good question but expected Nemesis to have got it straight away.

The National School of St George was at one time allowed to go into extreme disrepair by the then owner and a planning application was made to demolish the building and build apartments in its place but the application was refused by CCBC  thanfully and was later sympathetically restored by the new owners of the property.
It's strange that the owner who seriously neglected the National School is now featured in the forum's list of eyesores, namely Castle Hotel, Llandudno Youth Centre  and somehow in the Pier Pavilion

OMG Hugo I must be so busy looking what I am putting my feet in that I hadn't looked up. I knew that I had seen them somewhere, indeed I walk past them most days, this afternoon as well, but it didn't register. :-[

I'm not surprise Nemesis the West End Hill is a bit of a tester for the old knees and then those steps afterwards      :o

'Fraid that hill and steps are out for me now Hugo, I am usually using School Lane to cut short the 'block' if the weather is 'iffy'. Somewhere I have a book about the National School, will have to look it out.

I had to check it myself Mull but you are correct.   It was the West Shore Hotel but is now called Admiral House.       &well&

I thought that you would have got that one Fester as it's opposite the Lilly

It's just by the post office where I go every day, so I knew it was well known to me, but I couldn't place it for the life in me!
