It's a no to both, I'm afraid.  ΒΆΒΆ##

Fester, you're actually not that far away from the truth. This isn't the organisation that likes to say YES.

Halifax Building Society.
My clue seems to have misfired. It wasn't a reference to a financial organisation.  :(

The Chewing Gum Removal Dept of the Llandudno Urban District Council.

Wasn't it the TSB who liked to say YES?   ...and its not them ... so that doesn't narrow it down.

No need to give up, you are correct. This building was the original Estate Office for Mostyn Estates - whatever possessed them to demolish it, I don't know, it's a great looking building. Mostyn Estates then moved to their first floor offices on Mostyn Broadway (above the Doctors) and, a few years ago, to their current offices at 2 Mostyn Street.

Nice photo Dave and it's a good one of the Zion Baptist Church next door to the Mostyn Estates office.    Mostyn Estates refused to  renew the lease of the Zion Baptist Church so they were able to demolish that building too and build that concrete carbuncle that was Boots the Chemist.
The only reason for the demolition could have been for financial gain, the Mostyn Estates gain and not Llandudno UDC gain.

It looks like it should be on The Parade
The name of the hotel looks like it says Crescent Private Hotel, hence could it be near parts of The Parade by St George's Crescent.
So I would guess is it now the St Georges Hotel?

Nah, Jason...its not the St Georges Hotel, because that itself was built in 1854.  (so soon after the shameless land-grab)

However, St George could well have become the name of this entire town if certain developers had had there way ..... if others had THEIR way it would have been named Port Wrexham !!!    :o :o :o

Here endeth the totally unnecessary history lesson.

Is it the hotel on the promenade once owned by Mac Day and rebuilt as Crescent Court (or a similar name) as apartments ?

Correct! It was this hotel which was demolished and rebuilt as poorly designed flats, a move that triggered the designation of large parts of central Llandudno as a Conservation Area.

Wasn't that place owned by the Barracloughs at the time it was converted into flats?    I'm sure that he was a Councillor too at or around the time that a building application was made to convert them into flats.
I think it was the first hotel on the Promenade to be converted like that.
