Not the Jobcentre, I'm afraid. I'll give a great clue and say it is on the Prom....

It looks like the Ascot (not sure if the name is correct)  in Craig Y Don.  It was knocked down and the flats were built instead on the corner of the promenade and Carmen Sylva Road.
Looks like the Bedford Hotel in the background

Quite right, Hugo. The house was called Ascot and the faintly hideous block of flats that replaced it is called Ascot Court.

From DaveR post 2 September 2010.

"The Queens Head was in existance in Llanrhos opposite the church, just up the road from the Mostyn Arms. The Victoria Inn was located in the heart of 'Llandudno Village.' Victoria Tram Station was built on the site and took it's name from the Inn.
A short distance down Old Road (previously Mount Road) stood the George & Dragon."

You have answered your own question in advance!!

I discovered a new tack - search the Three Towns Forum first!   Actually it was the first thing Google threw up, so 3TF must be well up in the Google charts.    :D

This building (centre) was demolished in the 1960s as part of the clearance of a section of Mostyn Street to build the new shopping centre. What was this building used for prior to demolition?

My usual first wild guess - Tax Office.    Tax Department was up here during and after the War.  Whether it was still here in the 60's I doubt, but it's worth a try!   :rage:
