It was opened in 1938 by the then Conway Borough Council as HQ, stores and showrooms for its electricity department.  In those days Conway BC was responsible for a whole range of public services including fire service, water, sewerage, ambulance, gas, electricity distribution etc.

The building was  designed by the Colwyn Bay architect, S Colwyn Foulkes and built by the Deganwy firm of J W Owen & Hughes.

An easy one for a quiet day on the Forum. Where exactly would you find this turret in the Three Towns area?

Not Bodysgallen Hugo, this view from slightly further away might help. It's close to the boundary of one of the Three towns. I would think you would have passed it at some time on your travels.

Not Conwy town walls Hollins but the walls and turrets were constructed so as to resemble a castle, supposedly in a "Scots-Baronial" style!  The surrounding area is very popular with the younger generation.

Not St. David's, Hugo, this building is within a mile of the centre of one of the Three Towns and in a built-up area which is named after the habitat of a small songbird. It is also close to the route to a failed watercourse.
