Good question, Hugo, the place looks slightly familiar but youve got me stumped!

There are some lovely features in the garden and the building behind the archway is just the 3 car garage!
I wish that I could afford it.     :)

It's in a nice woodland setting and you can see it on Google but not on Google street view, but that doesn't surprise me.          $walesflag$

The nearest pub was just around the corner but that has closed too and it is now a private house

Maybe???   but I'm looking for this  " I saw this lovely archway in the front garden of a former cafe but what was it called and which street is it in? "        ;D

I think it is "Midacres" in Goedlodd Lane, Bryn Pydew.  The other tea room in the road was called "Bryn Awelon".

Oh and the pub was "The Swan".

Spot on with everything Cambrian... &well&

There was another pub around the corner from the Swan too and it was called The Red Lion, but they have all closed now.
Midacres Tea Gardens was once owned by three sisters called the Misses Bramblin and the Bryn Awelon Bungalow Cafe was last run by Mrs Pilbeam and closed in the 1950's
Midacres is now on sale at the asking price of £825,000.00 and looks very nice indeed.    $good$

All evocative of a more tranquil age!  I can recall the original "Midacres" which was a wooden bungalow.  Many of the dwellings in the vicinity were similar and I believe some were old Army Huts of First World War vintage. I think Mrs P's son still lives in Pydew.

On what building, in the three towns area, would you find this decorative gutter?

I think it could be the old Manweb building in Glan-y Mor Road in the Junction, but only because there aren't many round buildings in the area!

I think it is now occupied by Gareth Hughes the accountant.
