Yes, quite a grand staircase goes all the way up to the top floor.
If you look to the left of it, there are two very narrow windows which were concealed by a built in wardrobe until we knocked them out in the big refurb back in 2007.
They ha really nice leaded units in them but they were so badly decayed we just put ordinary glass in them, shame really.
If you look at Google Maps, the red railing in Queen's road is where the original Grand Entrance used to be, there were steps from the road and inside the room you can see the stone sides of the entrance and even the mark where the original bell push was.
Some of the old pictures show a white railing over that area, tat is where the roof gaden or patio was up until about 40 years ago.
One of the carers had relatives who kept the place as a hotel and she used to play up there as a child, we never found where the staircase to that had been though.
The left end of the building is original, built as it says in 1889 but the right end is an extension built we thought about 1930 as the roof supports are steel joists.
We found evidence of windows looking out onto a central courtyard there, fascinating.
To end, I believe that there was a swimming pool in the car park at one time.
