I'll try my usual wild guess of a Cafe that I have not, as yet, frequented but I am told is worth a visit.

Caffi Gloriosa, West End, Colwyn Bay.
Sorry, not the correct answer. You're a few miles away, in fact.  ;)

How's about Tricia's Cafe and Gillie's Plaice in Colwyn Bay?   Never been there either!   ;D

Me neither, hence it's neither of those places. A clue is that it is within the town of Conwy......

Well, I suppose I can give it to you, Cambrian.  ;) Yes, you're right, and it is called Amelies - very good it is too!

I'll repeat my little local poser:

What was the name of Clare's Department Store before it became Clare's?   ££$

For a bonus point in what year did the name change?   :D

And for a whole bundle of extra points what was the store slogan of the previous owners?    D)

Is it one of the jewellers? Goldsmiths on Mostyn Street?

(The handle would look better with brass slotted screws rather than stainless pozis )

Well Done, Jack, it is indeed Goldsmiths in Mostyn St, formerly Wartskis.
